As an instructor (ski-instructor) it's a lot of fun to see Anna play. She seems to be having fun and you can see that she mindfully applies every tip she's getting. She must be a joy to train
@walterhayley72524 жыл бұрын
She seems to be a quick study. Still, I have to commend you on your teaching. I'm much, much older and have only been playing since January (2020). I wish I had a teacher like you--truly an excellent example of how to learn the right way. Living in a foreign country, and studying a new language, my learning has been exclusively trial and error. Congratulations to you both!

Thanks for this video. I've been teaching my partner to play, and those corner rallies are the perfect next step for improving her ground strokes. So now I'm double invested in this series, firstly to see how your student improves, and secondly to get ideas for teaching my own beginner.

I stated playing tennis in June 2019 when I was 15. It been fun I definitely had a harder time learning the basics. The hardest shot for me to learn was the serve, but now it’s one of my favorite shots. Being left handed I love to just hit wider serves on the ad and take advantage of spin which is my main strength.

Thanks for these videos. Since i have been playing tennis since i was a kid around 8 or 9, and now 20 years later, still playing as much as i can, cant play as much as i used to since im always busy, but i love playing. I am really surprised and impressed that Anna is having rally lessons almost only a few classes in. I know it's not uncommon for beginners to spend 20 and even 30 hours on forehand and backhands ONLY where there's always room for improvements in the basics. Glad to see she's learning to PLAY tennis and truly enjoying it.

She is insane for her third lesson. I had my third lesson today and I am SOOOO far away from her, it's almost funny. (It is in a group, but I'm not making that an excuse) Rushing is definitely my biggest problem, though. There was one point where I realised how much I was actually rushing - running towards the ball and hitting it while still moving. I then chilled out, and hit the ball back from the baseline. I didn't even have to move, really! When you struggle to judge the ball, it's really hard to keep your calm, I gotta say.
