She seems to be a quick study. Still, I have to commend you on your teaching. I'm much, much older and have only been playing since January (2020). I wish I had a teacher like you--truly an excellent example of how to learn the right way. Living in a foreign country, and studying a new language, my learning has been exclusively trial and error. Congratulations to you both!

I stated playing tennis in June 2019 when I was 15. It been fun I definitely had a harder time learning the basics. The hardest shot for me to learn was the serve, but now it’s one of my favorite shots. Being left handed I love to just hit wider serves on the ad and take advantage of spin which is my main strength.

Im glad i found these videos, since it can help me rebuild my fundamentals. Since i still have certain things that I still need to work on.

I am really surprised and impressed that Anna is having rally lessons almost only a few classes in. I know it's not uncommon for beginners to spend 20 and even 30 hours on forehand and backhands ONLY where there's always room for improvements in the basics. Glad to see she's learning to PLAY tennis and truly enjoying it.

She is insane for her third lesson. I had my third lesson today and I am SOOOO far away from her, it's almost funny. (It is in a group, but I'm not making that an excuse) Rushing is definitely my biggest problem, though. There was one point where I realised how much I was actually rushing - running towards the ball and hitting it while still moving. I then chilled out, and hit the ball back from the baseline. I didn't even have to move, really! When you struggle to judge the ball, it's really hard to keep your calm, I gotta say.

After a while I might videotape them and comment cooperativly at the same time with them. Rod laver once said that therte is nothing motivating more than feeling you"r gtetting better, but as a teacher I have to be patienced. Happy chrismas coach and I see your student is progressing!

she's a beginner genuinely was doing a forehand wih two hands in the first lesson but she's doing such good progression in very short time she has a decent understanding of position and very impressive footwork for a beginner she's talented and well predisposed for tennis, from what i can see se has an athletic body so she got some sport/gym background which is quite helpful for a good coordination.
