Sorry for the long delay in output folks, but I've been working on things that aren't all that interesting to show in a video. That said, hopefully I'll have more video friendly stuff to come. Also, if anyone gets the "Mk II" sight gag, explain it in the comments and I'll allow you to have a cookie! Also, stop looking at my flies...

It's a nod to the end of the last episode of 'The Invasion Of Time', isn't it? The original K9 stayed on Gallifrey with Leela. The Mk.II had a few improvements, one being a weapon that could only stun (although this was conveniently forgotten about, quite quickly).

I'm not sure yet if you create props or just repair them, but have you ever thought about making the key to time and it's various fragments. Also the Silver Nemesis era Chrome Cybermen are of my favorite Cyberman design.
@PBProps3 жыл бұрын
Yes I do make props as well and yes, the Key to Time has been on my list for many years - I even worked out all the shapes of the pieces and published the details on line - I just never got around to making it myself. It's still to be tackled, as is the Nemesis head.
@SkageXL53 жыл бұрын
Would drilling and pinning the old head tubes have worked at all, or would it still have been too fragile? I suppose if you're taking the time to drill, pin, glue, fill the gaps, sand and paint, the time/reward ratio is too far out.
@PBProps3 жыл бұрын
You've pretty much answered your own question there. By the time you've pinned it all together, you may as well have just built newer, stronger ones. And yes, even with pins, the resin ones would still be quite prone to snapping again - somewhere else.

More excellent work, and moreover perhaps, a really well put together video. Replying to you again as my original reply seems to have disappeared. What's going on here? Thanks, I'm glad that people are enjoying the way I put these videos together. Fantastic video as always, makes me wish I'd bought some of those masks that were for sale in DWM many many years ago! I thought the chrome handlebars looked pretty swish, I wonder what the whole head would've looked like if they'd been able to chrome them back then!
@PBProps3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I really liked the look of the handle bars too, I did another just like this last year and ever since then, I've wanted to make one of these heads with a few modifications and these bars. I think it'd look amazing. Chroming the whole head is an interesting idea... I still can't tell if I like the Nemesis version, even after all these years!
@KASTERBEROUS3 жыл бұрын
@@PBProps It's odd, but in some shots in Nemesis the chrome heads really work, and look fantastic, but in others they just look a bit cheap. It can't just be because of the lighting!
@PBProps3 жыл бұрын
The problem with painting anything silver is that it shows up any and every defect... chroming is even worse! This is why I tend to avoid it where possible. If you look at the Nemesis scenes of the Cybermen in doors, like in the crypt or the hanger, they really look menacing with their chrome glinting in the shadows. Outside in full sunlight, well - it's a bit hit and miss.
