Michael C Well, I don’t agree with you about government workers in general (many of them are indifferent, but not dangerous like bad cops), but I absolutely agree with you regarding law enforcement. For a few years now, I’ve been saying that we need to “reboot” law enforcement in USA, with a strict prohibition on any existing LEOs from participating in the new police in any way. Civilians and ex-military only. We deserve to be policed the way we the citizens consider to be reasonable. Sadly, in recent decades, the police have become totally divorced from what civilians consider reasonable.

Great job on investigating. Superb work! My two cents, NO public official should EVER be allowed to take a government vehicle home. EVER! I wished i had the stats on how much tax payers are paying for gasoline for the public officials to do personal errands in government vehicles. Some cops are commiting crimes in off duty government vehicles.

I realize I am dropping this on a very old video but it perfectly captures what our media should be like. I assume this is a local org? We truly need to stop supporting all nation news and especially cable news and focus all of our support on outlets like this. Truth, facts, holding the powerful to account. This is what this nation needs so badly.

Outstanding investigation! You have produced a true work of art. You need to take this work to Hollywood and give all of these uniformed thugs the notoriety that they all deserve right up to the slimy Governor as he doesn't have the time to be bothered over this. Let me throw out a nice title, "BLAZE2: The Millennial Generation." *WVUE, don't fail us now!* Get all of these thugs on the silver screen so this story lives on until all of these thug pass away. These guys make the Long family look like angles. I would not even feed my gators with this nasty tainted meat. The movie money made from the film should go to charging all of these thugs as the criminals they are and before throwing them in prison they should forfeit every financial account they hold and liquidate every dime of their pension. Typical Louisiana politics. We hang suites on street thugs, get them nice SUVs to drive around in (let them sit in their driveways at home) and they rob the public blind and then turn around and illegally selectively enforce laws on anyone that is not a personal friend or family member. Yeah, great job thugs! You can suck my crawfish head. Resign my ass. Send that lying thug to prison! Oh, but first tase each of them until they drop to the floor, then tase them 17 more times just to show them how it feels when they did it to others.

Absolutely superb investigative reporting. Just imagine the nationwide scope of this problem... I believe it stems from the attitude rife within the law enforcement community that those involved in law enforcement are, themselves, exempt from compliance with the statutes they enforce upon others. Handheld cellphone use by officers while operating their vehicles is a common sight. I followed an officer at least 10 minutes through stop and go city traffic and observed him using his computer to visit entertainment sites, watch news, etc., while operating his cruiser. What is sad is that serious issues of fraud and abuse of power, not really that invisible to anyone working closely with the perpetrators, only seem to be “discovered” by governmental officials after some (often) hazardous investigative reporting has brought the abuses out into public awareness.

Years ago I rode with a NM state trooper in his private vehicle. He ran stop signs, sped constantly and even ran stop lights. I asked if he was worried about city police or sheriffs but he said not to worry they all knew him. I also helped a state trooper tow his car to the mechanic and he was breaking the speed limit the whole time and got made at me (in the tow vehicle) for braking.
