As a mavs fan i semi agree with the takes. Kyrie definitely gets too little calls, its not like small shifty guards dont get calls, dame gets a ton, for kyrie they just seem non existent. Luka is getting a fine amount of free throws but the way he gets them is weird, he will do the pump fake into a floater to get free throws, which is kind of scummy but they reward him with it but when he gets genuinely hacked he doesnt get calls. But if they just reversed that and make it normal he still would shoot the same amount of free throws but it would feel less “mavs against refs” Jason kidd is very very terrible, his offensive game plan is chicago to get luka or kyrie open, simple pnr and iso from there, the defensive scheme is so convoluted that players like maxi kleber doesnt know where to be and he’s really smart defensively. Also he’s a players coach, it works with players like lebron who are natural leaders but im not sure luka is that type of guy.
@weplaydk23432 ай бұрын
I know im late but i hope i get a response to these questions as you seem knowledgeable. First OFF, Really interesting analysis here due to your objectivie team/player critique. Do you think luka wines to refs too much? ( A popular critique i see) Despite the perceived coach handicap, if yall make the play in, do you think yall can take any team in 7 and go on a miami heat type playoff run? Last question, Iv been having and seeing alof of MVP discourse, i don't have a dog in the race but i personally am a fan of Giannis the most out of the contenders, however i think he is underrated and will NOT win MVP. Same with Luka, despite hia fans screaming at me that its a "significant statistical gap' between him in the competition, as far as seeding goes they blame it on an injured roster and having rhe toughest schedule in the hardest conference. In other words they say it should be clear that Luka is the rightful winner. Do you agree with ANY of that? ( i also think him and Giannis won't win because the narrative/story line hasn't caught fire)
@StarBlast9112 ай бұрын
As a Jazz fan, he’s absolutely right. I’m still following up with Mitchell, Gobert, and Bogdanavich’s teams. Even Lillard is a fan favorite here just because he went to college here. And the last biggest free agent we signed was Joe Johnson at the end of his career lmao.

@TannHayden2 ай бұрын
@weplaydk2343 we don't justify rapists, no matter their on court contribution. Karl's actions weren't widely known when he played like they are now. Most Utah fans found out when the rest of general NBA fans did, which was a few years ago. The fanbase has almost completely soured on Karl as a person, but that era of Jazz basketball is still loved. We love our team's history, but Karl can be forgotten. At least, that is, for the fanbase under 35 who didn't watch him play

I’m a hawks fan, I’m 14 years old, I could’ve given you a positive thing everyone could agree on. For one, Trae young is the bright spot of the hawks. Two, We have “decent” players. For negative, we need a rebuild and like shown in this video, our fan base is a little unfair and can be ungrateful and unsympathetic. Some, definitely not all. As a Grizz fan, i have my own opinion -GG Jackson is genuinely a top 10 pick in disguise. He's worked himself to over 12ppg from the bottom of the bench and has massively stepped up during our health crisis -and this brings to my negative, which is our health. Idk wtf is going on but our whole team has been sent to the icu and it crippled our season. We 99.99% won't make the playoffs and its upsetting, as I see our team stepping it up and being hungry for it to get back for last season Also we shouldn't have let Brooks go. I said this before and after he left

@@louisschmitz8346 I like him. I think he's going to have a long NBA career. I don't think he'll ever be a complete player, but providing spacing and being long is good enough for his rookie year. The nets aren't in as bad as a situation as the fans are saying. It's bad but they have assets and the geographical advantage of being a big market so they can get good free agents. They also have players with value (Mikal, CJ, Clax, Cam) and depth to get a player. They do have those suns picks and the mavs picks but that's it. Not good but definitely not the worst. Their only direction at this point is to get a new front office and get back into playoff contention to get a major free agent later in the road. My take on the nets coming from a fan would be that our owner is horrible. Did you know he didn't want ime udoka because he was afraid of criticism? He literally blocks fans on Twitter for criticism

The Mavericks desperately need more offensive versatility to elevate their offense beyond its current stagnant state. While Jason Kidd may not implement any intricate offensive schemes, the bare minimum he should do is instruct Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving to incorporate a wider array of mid-range plays into their repertoire. Doncic, in particular, should exploit his size advantage by operating more frequently in the post, while Irving should look to capitalize on his deadly elbow jumper coming off pnr actions. Additionally, the coaching staff must make better use of PJ Washington's adept floater by designing more post-up opportunities for him. Furthermore, the supporting cast needs to exhibit a heightened commitment to off-ball movement, cutting with purpose, and making the extra pass to generate better looks. Lastly, a sustained emphasis on defensive intensity and communication could go a long way in fueling their transition offense and alleviating some of the half-court scoring woes. My 3 cents

On the Bucks right, Andre Jackson Jr would have done what Pat Bev does every single night but I fear Doc will not do his development any good which ties back to the Sixers fan negative. I hope AJ Green can thrive and play the Danny Green role for us in the playoffs and become a flamethrower off the bench and make up for what he gives up defensively by making clutch threes and if he succeeds losing Pat Connaughton will not be that bad really

for mavs the good should’ve been that we have luka, a geniune savant and generational talent, or another good thing is win or lose every mavs game is gonna be electrifying with luka and kyrie playing, we’re the showtime mavs w the crazy passes and shots those 2 produce and hit themselves. a huge negative is our defense and coaching for defense, kidd wants a steal heavy defensive scheme where someone tries to steal the ball to rattle the softens but it just puts us out of position of offense and so many plays end w the ball zipping weird the 3 point line til it ends up in a wide open 3 w luka barely trying to close out

Ironic how casual Bulls fans booed Krause's wife, when Krause was responsible for our 3 peats. Even our "Big 3" of LaVine, DeRozan, and Vuc is so mid (Lonzo Ball wasn't going to save us, despite filling a critical need imo). At least, seing Coby White balling out s pretty nice.
