You are absolutely right..shares can be a risky investment. And you need to put in more money for bigger gains as illustrated. Kengen ownership would have been a double win. That is dividend income plus capital gains. Not all shares are like that.

Buying shares at 3000 is basically being STUPID. when you buy shares you own the company. Why would you invest only 3000 fees will eat it up you need like $1000 dollars in Kenya
