I'm making a note of all these suggestions and will be running it through the crew to figure out how quickly we could get one of these set up and the safety advantages of it. I know I personally don't like the idea of climbing up that extremely long ladder. Granted they do a very good job of securing it to the roof but looking at some of the scaffolding ladder systems, I know I personally would feel a heck of a lot safer on them

Loved your videos for years, since the Covid era when you first started the laundromat. I'm liking the new format, although I'd still love to see some of the old stuff mixed in with this. I would love to get into owning my own businesses, but I can never get myself above war for long. The issue is that I'm autistic, and it's difficult for me to work traditional jobs and earn the kind of money I would need to even get started. I don't get getting handouts, but I'm totally lost. It's unfortunate, because I think if I had the capital, I could do some cool things. Oh well, back to the poverty mines for me. 😀

Pretty neat to see a KZbin video and then literally be able pass by the exact jobsite haha, keep it up. Rockford is filled with roofing companies (I've worked for a few) but a union roofing company I'm curious on the profit margins for having a non-union roofing company go union. (I did notice you said you have the contract for Stellantis that's freaking awesome legacy client) I also heard you say around 4:30 you said you wanted to get into real estate in Rockford, its currently prime for what you want to do. (I know some people in the Rockford area that are renting out to traveling nurses as nursing is big here.) Economy here is okay if you are consistently working (can be able to make a nice saving account) but starting you own business is the way to go!
@InvestmentJoy3 ай бұрын
If you can keep work quality up, people safe, and be efficient the end (in my mind) is the crew as a whole makes much more money. I want to get into *Something* to potentially keep the crew busy during the winter, real estate would be one of those things they could work then make some money later in the year which would be cool.

There is walk through attachments now available that attach to the top of the ladders. You set the ladder flush with the roof edge and the extensions come up about 3’ so instead of walking to the side of the ladder off- your walking directly through the safety brackets. Some even have gates that will close the access off. Your ladders need an access path from the flags to the ladder. With a removeable flag to easily get in and out of the access path. Love the content.

Im not sure its legal in any state to have slot machines or video poker machines inside any business that miniors come into also i think theres even strict rules on who can even have them . the state and the tax man run it . the regulations where you are must be lax because using flags and cones on a roof has a guardrail is funny because most times its metal posts every so many feet then 2x4 or 2x6s are used in the slots has a guardrail and the metal posts get fastened to the edges of the roof if a health and safety inspector showed up on site for a surprise visit i think youd be looking at safety violations . the best advice is look in the roofers handbook or guide or even your state has manuls on construction safety and the regulations . its not a question of unionized or not its the quality of materials that proves if the job is good or bad use cheap membrane or cheap tar and youll get very short life results .
@InvestmentJoy3 ай бұрын
From what I understand / our Interpretation of the OSHA handbook when it comes to PFAS vs safety monitors in low-slope roofs. Not sure if our monitor is obvious in the video or not. Union vs non union certainly doesn't always mean you use better, or less better materials. However just today I was looking at photos of a pretty solid SPA product that was applied improperly (Wrong tool for the wrong job) and now the roof is bad after only 11yrs.
