Felt like I was watching a Buffy season 5 episode. Very character driven, with small things that show you the emotional state of the characters rather than actually telling you. The cupboard scene build up, the subversion with the deep sea dweller, Eve's actions and subsequent consequences, and the Shapesmith's story is kinda like Anya and it all felt like Buffy. Even Cecil is acting like Giles when he Mrs Summers confronts him about him using her daughter for his crusade as a Slayer. I mean this as a compliment as it is one of my favorite shows.

I'm just wondering how no 1 ever noticed or hear them on top of the building. I mean, they somehow got onto the roof to break-in, but did no 1 who lives or works in the building ever go to the roof to see them hanging there? Plus, are there no security cameras or sensors to detect the 2 guys stuck up there?

Yeah it makes sense. Think about it, what's the best way to protect your planet, your species even, from an "all" powerful being like omni-man? Get close to them and be their "man in the chair". Unlimited access so you can spy on them and collect raw data to find a way to finally kill/ control them. But it has to be played completely close to the chest. You'd get one shot only and potentially lose many people in the process. But that's really the only way to one up them i think. Cecil is trying to stack up as many contingency plans as possible.

I found it funny that they were teasing Doc. Seismic theme for several episodes with cut-ins and regular "previously" mentions implying that he has spread his influence, invented something dangerous and/or planning big invasion But in this episode he is really just a nuisance, he gets his ass kicked and is never mentioned again And i found it hilarious that there's no single comment discussing him also

@10:00 KOBRA from DC was awesome when they first came out! Sadly, it only lasted 7 issues. It was later reintroduced with the leader having changed places with his twin brother who was ironically the protagonist of the series. I don't know if they ever explained how that happened. The character has sort of been defanged over the years.

The park dropping into a sink hole was just silly though. So the city just left it there, wide open full of garbage because it was dangerous?
