It felt like an awesome story telling device to let us know that a huge shift is happening for the family. The three bruises shows that this family is still connected through any dimension and all of space. Mark is transitioning to understanding killing is gonna be necessary, nolan is truly seeing the value of all life, debbie is finally dealing with the fact that mark is destined for a life radically different from a human. I love this story so much, got me out of a super depressed time so i appreciate all that attention to detail with these characters bc they are so deep. Also we heard angstrom even mention that debbie is involved in the takeover of earth in other dimensions by joining mark and nolan. Its almost like the invisible string theory lol. Dont want to spoil anything but we will look back at this moment as the beginning of this family’s healing process.

My favourite part was during the fight with Levy, when Mark yells "You have no idea what I've been through! How much I've been holding back!". So much pain, fear, and desperation. The pain from the countless trauma he's endured, the fear of becoming like his dad and/or seeing those he cares about suffering, and the desperation to hold on to he is. Then the dam breaks and so does Levy's skull.

We're going to see Mark actually grow and disband from that mindset more often later In the series, especially when he figures out... (SPOILER ALERT) Cecils been using super-villains like Sinclair to assist him In the field when he uses the re-animen against Mark and the chip that he put In Marks ear has a super-sonic screech, not to mention his brutal fight with Conquest at the end of the Invincible War. It's gonna be very interesting to see how they handle Mark maturing Into that mindset of killing any super-villain (no matter who or what) that threatens his family.

I have to say I like how Amazon got around using Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus in the episode. When I first read the story where Spider-Man meets Invincible, I thought that because Sony owns the Spider-Man IP in film that they could get away with using him in the Amazon adaptation. But since Invincible is a TV streaming series, that falls under Disney's jurisdiction since they own the Spider-Man IP from a TV perspective. This is a really good use of legal loopholes and creative liberties to your advantage. It's also fitting that Josh Keaton's Agent Spider already knew about multiversal travel since he reprises his role as Spectacular Spider-Man in Across The Spider-Verse.

With how the comics have set up the Spider-verse it is so infinite that the Spider-Man we see in the episode could actually be part of the Spider-verse. Although if we are going really crazy there are parts of the Spider-verse where J. Jonah Jameson becomes Spider-Man if they wanted JK Simons to voice a Spider character.

I was really hoping for a breakdown of all the artifacts in Immortal's cabin. I know the hat is Abraham Lincoln's, but I'm not sure about the others. Is that... The Holy Grail??? I noticed how every time Mark got his ass kicked really bad, it was always his right eye was purple and swollen. And NEVER his left eye. In this episode, not only did this happen to Mark again, but to Debbie and Nolan as well. All 3 had swollen purple right eyes. It must be a cheap shortcut for the animators.

Amazing finale just like season 1 finale angstorm levy was a menace there was foreshadowing stuff about to go down next season, we got to see spiderman, batman, cameo invincible variants, the walking dead universe ,and other universe great easter egg ,and references. Im piss off that we didnt get to see Atom ,and invincible kiss ,but it will happen at the beginning or later of season 3 im looking forward to next season if it releases sooner than later.

I rolled my eyes at the scene with the two female archeologists of them stating how “sexist” it is that the mummy spirit can’t inhabit a female body to end his curse, as it’s just like how when Mark commented to Cecil back in season 1 of how “sexist” it is for a male superhero in wanting to “get the pretty girl.”

2:52, 7:15, 7:21, How super-strength affects relatively normal individuals has been explored throughout this franchise, but often times, it seems Mark has enough control over his strength to limit the damage he inflicts, wether through super-dexterity or the same force field that enables his flight also allowing him to control the forces he generates and interacts with (and thus, control attributes like his strength, durability and speed) in a similar manner to Superman’s “bio-electric aura” (that and the exaggerated nature of this franchise’s physics means characters are inherently more durable than normal humans anyway, otherwise Mark would’ve kill a majority of his villains on accident with even indirect attacks due to how strong he is), but Mark killing Angstrom both features him being too emotional and undisciplined to control his strength properly and him operating on the assumption that his opponent was tough enough to withstand his strength like the majority of the villains.
