Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show I'm your host Paul and this video we're breaking down Invincible.

It feels so good to be back and I can't wait to get into the second part of season 2. Since part 1 dropped i've re-read the comics making this like the 5th time that I've gone through the book. As always we're here to talk about the easter eggs and also go over the comic book differences. Part 1 ended with a massive cliffhanger in which we learned what had happened with Omni-Man Mark was left stranded on Thraxa. Here we pick up on the other side of that with this episode sort of beginning at the end of issue 29.
That had Mark lying on his back and he then travelled out to see Nolans wife Andressa. Here we begin with him crawling out to the city to see the destruction the viltrumites have left in their wake.
This is something brand new for the series with issue 30 giving us a quick cut to months in the future. Issue 28 had Nolan and Mark coming across the destruction and here we get more of what happened between.
Still though him coming across the city being destroyed and the thraxans lying about is clearly something that riffs off the source material.

Personally, I feel like the scene where Amber says she failed her exams and her grandad died while Mark was gone could’ve had more weight if they didn’t screw up her character in the first season. I’m sorry, but they just messed up by revealing she knew about Mark being and still exploded at him even after saving her from the Re-animan.

You mentioned Debbie's growth of character for putting down the bottle but I think you miss the joke that once Mark comes home and with the kid you see a jump cut to where her hands nuzzling a fully poured glass of wine, implying that while she was strong to decline at first she ended up needing a few drinks while Mark explained the origins of the kid.

The only thing she caused was a nose bleed.

Although only one writer is listed for this episode I am absolutely sure that there were other peoples input. It was equal parts brilliant and cringeworthy. One thing that was incredibly annoying was that repliKate should NOT have been able to have ANY impact on monster girl. She is literally just a well trained athlete that can duplicate. NO superstrength.

Pym particles alter density so he should be able to outclass thanos skin. He is more durable but is shown to bleed in combat so his skin isn’t impossible to penetrate. Now if his body can handle that strain is a different story,Antmwn would have to get used to being that size first which I think would have to be double or close to that from endgame
