This is the knot I use. I saw Mikey from The Crochet Crowd do it and it is my go to knot now. I only cut the ends for lacy projects. Otherwise I still weave in the ends because it make me feel better. Old habits are hard to break.

Not a old habit. You just wanna make sure it doesn’t slip at all. Makes sense to me.🥰

Cool! It never occurred to me to use the "old standard square knot" to join yarn together and stay put! (I haven't done macrame for a long time but the square knot is one of the primary knots to use). Thank you for posting this! 😊👍

To add to this I pop my tail in a needle, then weave it back through and along the working yarn for aprox 1.5 inch. As I have had this come undone with slippery yarns. Xx

This is great. It works with most yarns. I have a problem though and I’m hoping you can help. I’m using 100% tencel yarn. It’s so soft and drapes beautifully but when I go to join it, it will fall apart. No knot holds it. Do you have any ideas? Thank you

I have another joint video for you. I suggest leaving a little bit of the ends and crocheting over after the night is done. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qH20YmZ6eaafbdE
