@@TecKideos tbh iOS 17 seems a lot more stable than iOS 16 was. The animations really have improved. I haven’t had any notification issues and it lasts all day. They’re moving in the right direction.

I’ve had the 14 Pro Max since launch and my battery is still showing 100% health. I use MagSafe charging every night. First time I’ve ever had a battery be this good.

I finally caved in and installed iOS 17 when it's at Beta 3 (now it's Beta 4), and have to say battery life is one aspect that's improved tremendously. When I returned from the gym, around 2.5 hours after unplugging from the charger, it is only down to 97% (mostly just idle time and checking social media apps/email, etc.). It used to be down to 92% when I return home, with similar usage and time. So iOS 17 has been great on battery life!

probably a wrong calculation? for me battery time never ever improved with new iOS on older hardware, especially a beta can be harsh on your hw

I feel like the camera is improved a lot from 16 to 17. I haven’t really had any problems. I had just a minor problem where the status bar with clock and stuff moving to the left but I just had to lock the screen and unlock and it fixed it. I also never had the notification problem ever. My battery life is amazing. Still getting 7 hours of SOT and 24 hours of full battery. No heat pretty much except when I charge. It does get hot when charging.

I hope Apple will address this iPhone 14 degrading battery issue asap. At this rate the batteries will be under 80% in less than 6 months. Idk if it’s an only iPhone pro/pro max issue. At this point they can’t keep ignoring the problem, although it’s 100% sure they’re deciding what to do with this, if anything. How can they’ve not have seen this coming?

I don't know why but it seems like even though iOS 17 was supposed to be the refined version of iOS 16, the betas so far just weren't a great experience for a lot of people and I decided not to touch it at all. I didn't hesitate to update my 13 to iOS 16 public betas since Apple started pushing them out and my experience with the 16 betas were so good unlike majority of the people with the 17's.

I’ve noticed my battery health went back to normal at 94% after it dropped to 90 during the betas and I don’t feel it as hot lately. And I think my battery is back to normal and I can go a day without it dropping all the way to almost 60%.

IOS 17 beta 6 on my iPhone 14 pro and battery life has been terrible. I was down to 20% after about 6 hours. I only watched 2 videos and listened to music earlier in the day. This video is one of the two

For me, Beta 6 hasn't improved that much over previous betas. I have still quite major bugs like not being able to cancel a video edit in Photos. The dynamic island is also still a bit glitchy in terms of animations etc. And also small annoyances like white wallpapers still having white status icons so they're impossible to read. And battery life basically hasn't improved at all. I still only get about 5-6h with 100% or more of use. Yesterday I had 6h SoT - with 125% usage. Tbh with the hardware of the 14 Pro Max I actually expect double that. But I've never achieved that a single time since i got it in february. It's extremely disappointing. It runs quite stable but that's about it. The only thing I really look forward to is the WhatsApp update because it is so damn annoying that whatever picture you take, it gets completely destroyed just so that it is small... Which is just completely unnecessary because photos are just not that big. There's no need for a picture with 3-4MB to be compromised to like 300KB...

Running both iOS and iPadOS 17 dev betas on my iPhone 13 and iPad 9th gen both with great battery life (if you call 89% on my iPhone great) last beta I did notice that my phone was always significantly hotter than normal to the point of burning my finger if I left them on the screen for too long

Mate , is it possible for you or anyone reading this, to do a simple experiment ? Because , I have seen what seems like a major bug that no-one pays attention/cares. It drives me crazy and I see it happening since iOS 15.x . While phone is locked and you receive a call and answer and place it against your ear to talk,then if you receive a notification, screen turns on ( it should be off )and won't turn off unless you take away the phone and place back on ear ( to reactivate proximity ).To me that seems like it is over-riding proximity sensor and depletes battery(since screen remains on) . Only happens when phone is locked! If you can please do this experiment ( -at least on iOS 17 I am on 16.6- still happens on iOS 17 public beta ) because I want also another advanced user to share some info about it. iPhone 6s / 8 / SE ( 2020 ) same thing happens! Thank you in advance! P.S. I have already sent feedback to Apple twice. No response yet.

Tried for the first time ios 17 beta with Public beta 4 on my personal iPhone Xs Max. Surprisingly smooth experience and very good battery life. On ios 16 it was overheating a lot but with ios 17 beta the battery performance and heat is better.

After 326 days and 203 charging cycles, my 13Pro Max’s battery health dropped 1% (Currently 99%). Being 100% all the time is a satisfying number. Although it is not possible 😅

Stutter is still a major problem on my iPhone 13 Pro, and kinda bad on my iPad mini 6. Scrolling keeps stuttering in almost all first and third party apps. Also. There’s a noticeable input delay before ProMotion ramps up to 120Hz.

I have a iPhone 14 Pro, but it has some issues. The issues are poor battery life, overheating, scrolling stuttering screen issues and lags in games issues of my iPhone 14 Pro. Software updates didn’t help and Apple Store employee checked it and said that the phone is ok. Therefore I want to either buy a 13 Pro from parallel importer store or trade in to the 15 Pro / Pro Max. Or maybe wait for the 16 Pro / Pro Max because it’s a S year of the iPhone (since the 13 Pro), so therefore they will be more stable and reliable phones with better battery life. What do you recommend to do?

You can’t update to IOS 17, they are dropping support of the phone along with the 8 series due to their age, however, you will still get security updates for a few years so your phone can still be used as normal for right now

The only thing I really want is battery life to return the way it was in iOS 16. My screen on time was 2x as much. You can make everything else as slick as you want but if battery life takes a significant dip (more than 10%), it’s not a win in my book. Because the more cycles I use because of inefficiency it still leaves me with less. Only a good distraction for me to buy a battery later that just continues to increase in price.

Reporting the beta reviews I see, the battery life seems to be horrendous. 3 hours of SOT is unacceptable and even more on a 14 Pro Max. I don't know if resetting the phone and making a clean/fresh install + some settings adjustments will extract some battery life but as it is know, I'm surprised that you keep being composed ahahah

I use a third party app that I show on the screen. When talking about it called coconut battery. You plug the iPhone into a Mac and it will show you how many charge cycles there are

The call end button in the corner when bringing up the num pad is just a terrible UI design. Imagine accidentally pressing the button twice (which happens sometimes) and you immediately end a call just because you brought up the numpad.

Seeing some really strange things on Developer 6 running on my 11 pro. On a face time call, turned the camera around and the flash started flashing. Answer several calls on phone, imessage and whats app and the mic didn’t work had that on several calls now. Loving air pods connectivity and switching, finally working as it always should have.

That hasn’t been an issue for quite some time. I haven’t heard anyone complain about it either. I look over all the bugs from multiple sources and I’ve never seen that mentioned.

I’m on a 14 pro on beta 6 and it’s been a bit worse than beta 5 for me. Beta 5 was as stable as my other phone on the public 16 release. Beta 6, however, has been: warm most of the time, pretty decent battery life, occasional keyboard bug (not as bad as before), messages and Instagram dm’s won’t load intermittently (I have to exit the dm, refresh the inbox, and it loads), and my phone shows the “setup new watch” prompt 3-7x a day. My iPad and watch are running better than ever on beta 6.

Apple Music and Apple Classical crash on Beta 6/Public Beta 4 after some time. Music loads infinitely regarding "Listen" and "Radio" and doesn't play any music. I can see the library but cannot play music. Classical does not load at all. I can only see a blank screen. Also, the spotlight search freezes from time to time. There is a problem with CarPlay too. It doesn't show up when reconnecting iPhone to a car. So for me, Beta 6 is quite buggy. These bugs did not exist on previous betas.
