A nice word of warning, depending on what brand of battery you purchase, the logic-board connector can be super-brittle and snap off from the small PCB it is a part of if proper care isn't taken.

Start with 60c for about 1 minute and then use as you need with 30 seconds intervals. Different tablets need different timing.

Yours is the easiest instruction to follow. Lucky for me the screen is already lifted up probably by poor glueing by a previous third party repairman. The battery he replaced with lasted for about 6 months. The battery was totally conked and I was hoping it was really the battery and not something else. So I bought a battery online for just US12 equivalent on offer compared to what I was charged for the previous replacement which was almost US100. Worst comes to worst it’s below 20 bucks wasted. Anyway looking at your video while doing the battery replacement it went smoothly. However I lacked proper equipment just used whatever was available including a Starbucks membership card. The screws are really tiny and I lost a few lodged in the tablet itself as I was using a 24 year old screwdriver given by a nice man at the specs shop long ago. Only after losing a few I got this bright moment of inspiration to wet the screwdriver tip and the screws stick luckily. Anyway I was prepared to consign this tablet as a paperweight and didn’t bother about the lodged screws. The screen turned on fine but there was a bit of a regularly alternating shadows on one side in a line about 0.4cm wide. The battery looks good in fact better than the one before. The shadows hardly noticeable after a while. Thanks to you, I have my iPad Pro back when I was ready to let it go and in fact have bought a Chinese android tablet. Playing Candy Crush is a breeze on my iPad Pro but so frustrating on my cheap android as do other apps.

Well it is quite difficult to say which is original and which is not..Because Apple don't sell batteries..But there are good OEM brands, which have a good track record and they are almost original quality. And also they don't want to sell batteries with lower quality to ruin their brand..Send me your country so i can tell you some brands..

Hello. Nice tutorial by the way. I have an issue with my screen. After replacing the battery, the screen won't turn on. There should be consumer protection laws requiring them to support the device for 10 years. Just security updates and either let us sideload apps or fix their bloody store so I only see compatible apps even if they're outdated.

When heating and taking apart, something happened to the digitizer like part of it got stuck in the adhesive and held the whole thing together on the "opening" side and then tore to the wires thereby ruining the digitizer. Your instructions didn't warn about this happening so I'm very disappointed in you. Now I have to buy a digitizer.

Instaed of blaming someone else try blaming yourself for your lack of knowledge in repairing something that you know nothing about, he is just trying to help people and you are blaming him for you damaging your ipad, next time take it to a professional if you are unsure of what you are doing.

I did a crappy job on my iPad mini 1 battery replacement back in the day. I followed all the tutorials out there but ultimately it was my fault. Over the years, I’ve gotten better at repairing my devices. Don’t blame this guy. Take it as a learning lesson and better yourself.
