What if I stick a "one way valve" on top of the cbv nipple. Will that do the trick of closing the cbv? Not as efficient as the block plate, I'm sure, but can it be done?

You'd lose the pressure you'd want diverting back into the turbo. You want this so the turbo doesn't have to work as hard to get back to or maintain your target boost levels.
