I’m here (this video) because I just got home from Houston, and when I was there I noticed my iPhone said 5G UW. I had no clue what this meant because I never saw anything except 5G occasionally at home…. I tested my speeds and it said 3,500. I was utterly shocked and didn’t believe it so I had to look it up lol

Sometimes the phone shows 5G but it won’t use 5G if it isn’t needed. So you have to be sure you have it selected to use 5G only, while youre testing

So far based on my experience AT&T has a slight advantage over Verizon in the Houston area. I still have a lot of testing to do so that may change.

Unless it’s mmwv like Verizon 5G UW than it’s not real 5G, it’s slightly boosted 4g Lte and nothing more. So counting out 5G UW makes zero sense, if you don’t have at least 1,000 mbps than you are not using 5G, you are using 4g lte.

Verizon’s is much better but ultra wide band is only in major cities and limited to certain streets as it don’t travel as far as the lower bands IMOP

Nice! Where I live in Texas Verizon is not as reliable. AT&T has shown to be the more consistent/reliable. T-Mobile is making moves also. I’m getting better coverage and faster speed in more places. Verizon is amazing downtown Houston but too congested and slow in the suburbs.

Do you have editing software? It is included with Windows 10. So you didn't find ATT 5G+ around Houston area and you conclude that Verizon is better than ATT in Ultra-wideband/5G+ in major cities.

Yes, my conclusion is due to real life experience. Windows 10 editing software is irrelevant here. AT&T has almost no 5G+ in Houston based on my experience. Verizon has a decent UW network in Houston.

I live in Columbia (capital of South Carolina) and I took the Verizon plan for. Month on my 12 Pro Max. Verizon was really slow and had no ultra wideband in this area. Even the LTE was giving me like 20-80 depending on time. I switched to T-Mobile and I get 200-400 on wideband which is at full signals here. Turns out Verizon is much better in ultra wideband. But overall, I’d go with T-Mobile because it’s all over the country and covers alott of part

Though they’re pretty far out, there’s a node on the corner of Ceremonial Dr and S Griffin St in Dallas, there’s a node at the AT&T stadium in Arlington, and there’s a node inside the AT&T center in San Antonio. Also due to the extremely high frequency of millimeter waves cars may very well block the connectivity of your 5G+ connection.
