Samsung will not copy the camera control button. But Chinese phone manufacturers will. They copied the dynamic island, the three camera array at the back, the Apple Watch and Ultra (even the button placements).

If you're sick you can have dynamic island on your Samsung by simply installing an app from play store. I had it for one day on my Samsung and I un-installed it after one day. It is useless because of its placement on top of the display, you must have hands like a basketball player to reach it😅

Xperia phone shows why you don't need to overengineer a button. Just a simple hold to lock focus and press to capture is more than enough for a camera control. Besides even photographers change their settings with dials available on camera which on a smartphone is already controlled on screen. Sometimes pushing too much can be a detriment.

I refunded my 16 pro max. The camera button was a deal breaker for me. It was always in the way and I kept pressing it on accident. Even if the annoying camera button wasn't there, it's not a worthy upgrade from a 14 or 15 pro max.

They never copied anything from Apple. Samsung is THE innovator between the two - the triple camera set up (Galaxy A9), first to adopt AI (since last year), type c (years ago), preview notifications (years ago), and the list goes on. And oh, the OLED is a Samsung screen, used by Apple. So no, they're not going to copy the useless camera button. They already have that integrated in the volume button, again years ago. It can be used for zoom or taking a shot. Samsung is a much more capable phone.

I don't think the iPhone 16 Pro Max is the best, I think it's the worst iPhone ever with rubbish cameras. At night it's very noisy, even with 30MP it doesn't have good quality. You can see it. Ultrawide has saturated colors and a lot of noise. The zoom lens and main camera are also the worst.

Like adding more clock font option n stuff and being able to color a keyboard or volume bar isn't really sth valuable to me. No doubt Samsung is much much more customizable, but most of those customisation are very niche and not well implemented.

We all know that the S25 line up is gonna be exact same as the S24 line up and S23 lineup. With only chip upgrades and software tweaks.
