I'm buying the 16 pro max 1 tb. I'm coming from an XR I have waited 6 yrs for this. I will hold this camera for 6 yrs. I would rather keep my IPAD pros updated every three years instead. I shoot a lot of video, but not on my phone. The best camera you got is the one in your pocket. I just found your channel, I live in the city of Mesa AZ so, I will never be able to get shots like yours, but I can dream.

Just get out of the city a bit and you will be able to do it. Shooting video on the 14 and 15 pro is incredible. The image stability is so good. You wont know yourself mate

I bought the 15 Pro Max last year. I don't experience it as large these days. The regular iPhone seems small now. I am an older guy so the larger screen is nice for me. I invested in Apple in 2008 so I give myself permission to buy a new iphone every year. I will give my 15 pro max to my wife who will give her 14 to one of our daughters and down the line.

Ref iPhone 12 Pro Max To be truthful it’s a lot of money for me, a few moons ago you was trying out some ShiftCams lens’s which I liked however I purchased the ShiftCam Photography ProLens Kit for iPhone. On opening I found the thread knackered on one of the lens’s got in touch with them and they gave me the run around I am sure they said they were having a few problems but they wasn’t helpful at all. Reported them to Amazon and got my money back, ShiftCam come quickly back with some BS, anyway rant over I will be looking back on your shows now to see if you have done anymore with lens’s thank you Shayne good to know someone with experience and says it has it is

I am currently rocking the iPhone 14 Pro Max I would love to upgrade but to me it’s such a small upgrade that I’ll wait till next year. The only reason why I’m even considering upgrading would be for USB-C because I make videos with my phone as well, but I’ve gotten used to the slow speed.

The screwing up of the S23U and expert RAW all of the problems it has had with the S24U (there are heaps on different FB groups) convinced me not to buy the S24U. We will see what the 25 brings

Tony Northrup should stick to cameras and not phones. He has been wrong in so many phone reviews in the past couple of years. He videos with phones are just click bait. I watched his video about the 16. Then compares it to an $8k setup with a massive sensor and says Apple is lying. He did the same thing with an Android a while back.

I like the camera button idea. I think it's very cool that it will also be able to control functions on the fly like it does. I also like the action button (I'm coming from the 14 PM that doesn't have one). I'm happy with the 48MP wide angle. I'm *ridiculously* disappointed in the 5x zoom. That was the ONE thing I was most excited for, a 10x or more optical zoom so this could do what my old Galaxy 21 Ultra did. So a four year old Android device can still outperform the newest iPhone with zoom photography. That is just not acceptable. I find it hilarious that they put so much emphasis on the lame AI additions and they won't even be on the device at launch. "Buy it now, I'll be awesome SOON!!" But honestly, I find the custom emoji generator stupid and I am literate so I can actually write in "casual" or "professional." I don't need an app to do it for me. This was a disappointment.

I changed from iPhone X to 15 pro max last year only because I broke stabilisation in camera. I didn’t know that bike phone holder can be soo dangerous… Anyway only difference for me is 5x zoom that I use a lot. I spotted even one thing that was better in iPhone X - haptic engine. This is no longer available and you can feel difference under the finger.

The biggest issue I see with new phones is there’s no physical sim anymore. I have a 14 I use and an 11 I have for a backup phone. If there’s issues I can swap the sim no problem but if I convert to eSIM the carrier deletes the physical sim so I can’t swap back. This is the biggest problem I can see.

@@ShayneMostyn maybe I’ve been reading up about overseas models. Apparently the 15 here can run both sim and eSIM so you’d need two seperate numbers and plans because one cancels the other. I accidentally converted my 14 to eSIM and put the physical sim in the 11 and it was dead. Once the new replacement sim was activated the eSIM wasn’t operational. So I’d say as a result if you want the dual sim option for the same number it’s a no go. I don’t really get that because you’re paying for the use of the number not what device it’s attached to.

I hate that my upgrade will be on such a lame update, and I’m probably won’t be able to keep it longer as per the storage, so overall I’m just as disappointed too. Its been awhile, but have definitely been waiting to see your reaction. You probably know what i’m gonna say. Iphone 16 is basically a 15S. Cameras are basically the same, new main faster sensor but the same size so without a bigger sensor and aperture, how will the image quality actually improve? UW getting 48MP is nice, but so irrelevant for 99% of users since uploading an image like that onto social media gets compressed into oblivion. Also, the 2.2 aperture on the UW limits the amount of light and detail the UW will pick up. In my opinion, the basically supercharged a Prius. The tele is disappointing, plain and simple. I wish Apple would add a 4th lens for a dedicated 10x and have a portrait tele of 3x. Battery improvement is almost there. They made a quite noticeable change in battery design, but we’re still stuck with under 30watts of charging. The 4k 120 is literally the only thing that interests me. Apple lost its soul and passion for the industry, they have adopted the (15% better) motto and seems like they’re running with it for good now.

@@ShayneMostyn I’ll probably upgrade because why not. I’m just baffled at how much Apple markets the Pro models to content/film makers and still have not given us manual controls. We have ProRaw, Log, and can hook a SSD to the phone, but we have to download a 3rd party app for real video controls. I’ve pretty much given up on getting a dedicated astro mode at this point. It’s a fairly simple thing to add yet, here we are.

imho apple really got surprised with the vision pro flop. They bet really hard that this will be the next big thing. We know now that it isnt 😁 Thats why this keynote was just real bad with products that are honestly a joke (airpods max with usb c but old chip). The biggest joke is that they build the 16 pro "from the ground up for AI" and release it without AI. Also the new camera button is not fully functional at release. I mean i dont need the AI stuff except cleanup in the photos app... but still full price. But yeah. 4k120fps and zero shutter lag raw i am super interested in.
