Beyond that iCloud logo on the box, iPhone on front of the box has the screenshot with iOS 5, not iOS 4 as Phillip said (iOS 4 didn't have Newsstand for example). It was bought in AT&T (SIM card inside the iPhone). Wow, that's quite interesting to see how seriously people took my comment. Ok, from semantics point of view, it's quite easy to miss the "i" in the iPhone. However, as Applechips pointed out, there were only 2 other iPhones at the time, i.e.: why say "no other phone" as opposed to "previous iPhones"? I think a lot of people forget that iPhone wasn't all that revolutionary. Was it great? Definitely. Did it improve a lot of things that was flawed with other designs? Absolutely. Did it invent all those things it claims oh-so-righteously? No, no and no. My point is, be careful not to over glorify a product just because you love it. That's it. Peace out!

That was the later 3GS that came with iOS 5, so this 3GS was bought sometime in 2011. If it was from 2009, it would not have an iCloud Sticker and the front of the box would show an iOS 3 screen with a black homescreen background. Also any 3gs that has no capacity marking on the back of the phone is a new bootrom model from 2011. Im not sure if it has been resealed or not but it is definitely not from 2009 because of the icloud sticker on the box

My first phone was a 3GS. I got it shortly after the iPhone 4 was released. I later passed it down to my dad, and he used that until the iPhone 6 was released. It's still in a drawer at my parents' house ready to go if either of them ever need a backup phone. That phone definitely further sparked my curiosity and love for technology and pushed me towards my current career path. Hard to believe that so much has changed in this space in only 9 years. How do you know the phone was replaced? I mean, it obviously _could've been,_ but we could also just be dealing with an "old protector". The ONLY way to *really* see if the phone was replaced is to check the on-device S/N and verify if it's the same as the one on the box. _THEN_ check it with Apple. You never checked the on-device S/N, so you were basically crying you got ripped before you really knew... Not good! The "old style" of headphones was the style that was shipped with the 3GS, so that was genuine for you too. Good video for the content itself; the prep could've been better. Anyway, I absolutely loved it when I used it as my (main) device! Unfortunately, mine died because of a swelled battery... Otherwise, I would probably still use it as a music player or something...

Hey man I worked at AT&T and even then the shrink wrap wasn't perfect, the screen protector wasnt always on completely. I worked at AT&T from the iphone through the iphone 6. You didn't get scamed from what i saw. Now if the IMEI's or S#'s dont match up well then yes, you got scammed. That unboxing looke just like the randomness of the 1000's I've done. Plus its been in the box for 9 years.

the upgrade from the 3GS to the 4 was incredible. Facetime, truly beautiful retina display, metal and glass design, and a decently good 5MP camera with led flash and 720P video was extraordinary for the time. It was like holding something from the future back then, and as far as design, it still looks modern besides the size. Almost every flagship now it a metal frame squished between two slabs of glass.

The way they do it is they take plastic wrap that you would have in the kitchen and they use a hairdryer which then shrinks the plastic wrap and pulls it together and if the seal on the box is a smooth seal and not jagged like it was on the 3GS then it’s factory sealed from apple or brand new

For instance, it was the first with a camera, it was the first with a Retina display, and the first that was focused on gaming(well, *2010* gaming). I was really disappointed that soon after iOS 7 about every developer abandoned iOS 6. I still play some of the classics like Angry Birds, Hill Climb Racing, the funky wood maze thingy with the metal ball, AND the best version of Garage Band EVER.

It’s just really old and makes me appreciate how well the packaging is today. Everything in the box is legit. The accessories feel like that because thats how they actually feel. I still have mine. It’s very interesting how these things age and how they felt. The screen protector ages like that when it has been sitting for so long. You prob got scammed if they said it came with iOS 3. iOS 5 means that you got the newer version phone that were free when the 4S would sell for 200 and 4 would be 100. Just because you got a newer batch of the phone doesn’t mean it’s not legit. But you should have caught that when you bought the phone. You have the box with the wallpaper on it. Video was lit. I have nothing against this channel. But the whole vibe of this video ruined a legit unboxing. I’ve been a sub for 7 years now so I know when content is legit or not on this channel. I wouldn’t still be here if it wasn’t. But this is something that bugged me. All in all good legit unboxing!

Dreamer In Time the plaster was not package Properly, there was scuff marks in instructions menu and there was a sim card inside the 3gs.

I had to accept to buy one in Europe even showing dusts under never used screen plastic and micro scratches on the body to the retail store worker. Phones are inspected in the factory, so it is fine and it still means phone wasn't used after it left the factory.

Because iCloud came out along iOS 5, you probably received an iPhone that was lightly used, or not really at all. That particular phone came with iOS 5 as it was one of the later models. The 3GS originally released with iPhone OS 3, which had no wallpaper on the front. I speculate that those models are even harder to find than the one that you have.

SbI29 Oh it was beautiful. Everyone takes high PPI for granted now, but seeing that for the first time was unbelievable. Infinity Blade took me by surprise. That’s when I realized these SoC’s were evolving fast. Same thing with the 2012 MBP. I never expected displays like this on a phone. The original 480x320 display was already damn good. The only device that had something similar before was the PSP.
