only the idiots say that. the real reasons andriod is "slower" are these: 1. optimization of the os and games are superior on ios do to the coding. 2. the storage usage on the iphone is VASTLY superior to most android phones. 3. the 3rd reason is not a reason for speed, but comparisons. in normal apps like twitter or google or netflix or youtube and stuff like that, android wins most of the time. for games, iphones win most of the time. for multitasking, ANDROID FTW.

They have updated the software in ios 10.1 and it now loads over 15 without a reload and appears to be smoother and faster overall. Hopefully they will retest as it is a big improvement on the Beta (assuming it will be in final 10.1). Thats the good thing about Apple, there will be 3-4 major updates within a cycle that correct bugs, improve performance and add features. Will probably be next year before the S7 gets Android N and then probably thats it till Android O, and good luck getting a year 3 update.

Yup. iOS 10.1 on iPhone 7Plus allow you to select which app to keep in memory through 3d Touch gesture. These apps will remain open in the memory n background and in case more memory is required for new task, first other background apps will be closed and the prioritised apps will close in the end if the need arises.

I actually use an SE, and I had a 5 before that. I'm simply pointing out that the "higher resolution" excuse Android fans use to explain why the iPhone consistently beats their flagships is completely wrong. This type of speed test depends almost entirely on storage read/write speeds with a bit of processor thrown in, however the render resolution does not matter in loading the app, only when playing. I'm not denying that the 7's resolution is quite low for a 2016 flagship, but that's not the reason why it wins in these speed tests.

They suspend it all the codes in the background. This will take out some battery life and might be an issue, but it might still be better to keep all the apps in the background because closing and reopening apps will re-run the app completely, which will takes more battery life in the long run.

I have a Galaxy S6 and the only apps that I use that are in this speed test are the camera and settings. Camera for taking pictures (duh), and Settings for turning on my FREE hotspot (with UNLIMITED data). I also use many other apps that don't even have an ios equivalent (my phone is rooted, an no jailbreaks still don't get you the same amount of functionality as root).

Great to see another video that blows the myth of the kids that comment that it's because the 2k display (that doesn't even show more pixels to the naked eye) and they are willing to sacrifice fast performance for those unseeable pixels. Yes the Note 7 is much slower but it is nothing to do with the screen as this shows, it's to do with Samsung giving up on performance and optimisation and appealing to the pre-teen and teen market with gimmicks and glass and edges. Samsung fans are running out of excuses and maybe instead of bemoaning iPhone users they should force Samsung to get their act together. This is unlikely as most comments from Note fans is that they want more and more gimmicks and are not concerned about speed. That's great foe OnePlus and hopefully the new Pixel phone as they become better choices for those that value speed over another way to charge or unlock your phone.
