I am curious about if there is any other way to do this if u only need the data in your phone. Like making a pcb or buying it and soldering the only data chip and other needed stuff to make it work and connecting to laptop or pc like plug in inside or usb? That will be easier if it is possible to do like that..

You have to change all the chips because they are intertwined, the NAND flash (storage) is linked with the CPU and vice versa so if you only change one, it won't work without the other.

@@mifthasadik8703 Because the purpose is to recover data, not repair the phone. For repair purposes, you can always buy a new phone if repair does not succeed. Expensive fail, but new phone is easily, accessible. "Only" money and pride is lost. If you damage the cpu, nand or eprom during failed repair attempt for data recovery purpose - data is no longer possible to recover. Ever. Customers rarely request data recovery unless the data is much more valuable to them, than the phone.

My iPhone 4 is locked into iTunes so I suggested removing the memory to another iPhone 4 Read about the AES, replace the nand processor and eprom but I only forgot the password and the on off is not working properly I have also seen a video on removing the memory placing it onto a tech copy gaget then tranfering the data to a much bigger memory card Do you know anyone in the UK or London who can tranfere my memory Much Thanks for you marvelous talent experience and knowedge in your vidoes Antony

It was a stupid mistake drowning my iPhone 6 in the sea. I contacted the Apple Care but they said the motherboard was electrocuted and could not be restored or retrieved. What precious inside there was the photos of my grandma I took when she was still alive in her last 6 months before she passed away. Yep, I didn't back up anything on iCloud. You only need baseboard if you restoring your phone. Otherwise phone will turn on without baseboard. Great video

Some people I saw them using the pre-heater to avoid the heat accumulation on the cpu. Do u know the heat resistance of cpu and A8 ram? I don't know but I feel like 320c is not enough to get the chip out. Could I increase the heat to 350-360c? Many thanks

What is a good source of known good motherboard for transplant, except buying complete new phone? I do not trust donor boards for this, they are usually treated very badly after extracting CPU, NAND etc. Alwas missing small things, mechanical damage, traces cut when removing underfill etc.
