this video was the most helpful one I found and the only one to give me success. my 79 year old mother, who'd had a severe stroke, accidentally locked and disabled her phone. this video save me an hour trip to an apple store, as well as a $20 fee, plus allowed me to restore her phone without having to leave her house. you're a lifesaver!!

This worked for my iphone 6plus but I had to do it twice. Once to download and once to install. My phone was disabled, no passcode and the SIMS card was missing but I was able to restore it back to NEW factory settings. Thank you so much !

I take back my last comment. It appears that the phone is dead, until you download I-tunes. Once you install I-tunes it knows that you have a I-phone in recovery mode and begins the restorative process. Thanks Worked Great after a little scare.

It still works, just hold both the home and lock buttons at the same times and keep holding past the apple logo until the itunes screen pops up then follow with the video. It just takes a ten seconds or so after the logo disappears for it to pop up.

Ive done it with my 6s just for trying it out , Find my iPhone is was also enabled so it worked without any problems i just putted into the recovery and done the full reset and used my old backup or you can use it as a new iphone , so if you see some iphones with this problems buy them and sell them or take it for you own its good money
