I also own the White SE and I genuinely forget this is "new" phone I am using every day. I'm in the Apple ecosystem already so the SE just blends into my daily use,working seamlessly with my ipad and macbook. This is the phone to get if you want something that just WORKS. No gimmicks or hoops to jump through. I personally don't need the bells and whistles of flagship phones or a large screen so I needed a phone that can handle my light tasks. The A13 and 5+years of support is just icing on the cake for smartphone usage.

A13 and 5 years of software support are wasted on a device with such a terrible battery. Your battery will die way before you ever get to 5 years. And all the uses that actually take advantage of the A13 like 4k video and games will eat up your battery in minutes.
@oqeufh4 жыл бұрын
katniss you can just change the battery for about 30 bucks at Apple and most casual smartphone users don’t do much 4K video recording or heavy gaming whatsoever. My dad still uses my old iPhone 5s and he didn’t feel the need to change the battery anyways.

I made the same choice on day 1. 120GB of storage has sense, the 64, imho, not at all. I agree with the review, though, the battery is quite disappointing, but for me its ok, since I do not use the phone continuously during the day. For me, best phone ever purchased for 500€.
@jhalscott4 жыл бұрын
Donato Colangelo for me coming off a 6S Plus that even had the battery replaced by Apple, my SE2 has magically long battery life in comparison. Heavy use on my 6S Plus could nuke the battery in as little as 3 hours. I just got used to charging whenever a cable was nearby. I use my phone about 4-5 hours a day for general productivity and social media. SE2 often stays above 50% in my use case.

Have had experience with the Pixel 3a and both the iPhone SE 2020, the device that comes out as the device that offers the most features for the money is the iPhone SE 2020. I have been using the iPhone SE 2020 as my primary work device and it has not disappointed in any way. The device offers all the benefits of the Apple flagships without the flagship price. Camera-wise the device does the job for my needs and with the use of AirDrop, I don't lose any quality when transferring to my MBP. The device is also perfect for Zoom meetings, reading documents, and answering emails and iMessage. I'm a person who is tired of spending $1000 every year just to have the latest and greatest. To be honest, I don't even notice enough of a difference to feel good about spending the money. I know there are improvements made to the cameras and internals mostly, which is why no other device can compete because Apple put all the necessary internals inside this device. Great job Apple and great video.

The only negative you missed about the camera, specifically, is the absence of night mode. I had a Huawei p20 pro with 4000 mah battery. I bought the SE plus a battery case on day one. I haven't used the battery case at all. I'm an IT manager and use my phone a lot, zoom calls and VoIP calls. I'm bought into google and the SE google apps work well. This phone is great. It will get updated for 4 or 5 years unlike android phones which are 2 years and sometimes 3 if you are lucky. I can afford any phone I want but would buy this again. Got the 265GB version because it's so cheap. Properly future proof.

I have a OnePlus 6t international version dual-sim and a black SE 256gb. I started emulating all the apps on my SE and got a second line on my account which is tied to the esim. I put my Philippines SIM in the slot. I purchased this phone for the camera and dual-sim plus the small size. I plan to use this extensively in the Philippines for photos and videos. I loaded up all my trucking apps as I'm a long-distance truck driver to run side-by-side with my OnePlus. All of my apps like e-logs, Pilot Flying J and truck weighing apps are snappier on this than the OnePlus. The fact that the SE makes a great computer as well and can edit and render video faster than many computers is a huge plus! This took me from being an iPhone hater to an iPhone lover. That's actually not completely true, I have my original 4S and I bought a 2016 SE with 128gb about 2 years ago.. I'm really looking forward to using this phone when I do get to the Philippines..

This is a £419 phone in U.K. With the exchange rate that’s $530. UK salaries are about a third lower than USA. So whilst it’s cheaper than other iPhones, it’s a significant purchase decision. If I spend the money I want it to last a while, and if this has a poor battery life, I’d prefer to pay more to have something that is usable throughout the day and lasts a year or so longer.

Not very. It's using dedicated hardware to render, not GPGPU... so it's not really heating anything up that much. I can render 10-15 minute videos and it's just moderately warm. Nowhere near hot, and that's 4k 60 with color/brightness/highlight corrections. So, I'd say go for it.

Completely agree. iPhones are king. A quick fix for the battery issue is just to put on a good battery case. Adds a little bulk but it makes the phone last 2-3 times longer. With that, iPhone is a no-brainer.

Why would anyone expect the SE to go longer on a single charge than the 11, or the XR for that matter?

KZbinrs always talk about how Apple will continue to support this phone for years to come but I’m thinking, how is the battery going to hold up through years of use. I would think battery life will be an issue as the cell degrades. Then the user would have to pay for a replacement battery? Don’t get me wrong, it’s still an awesome phone with tons of value. I actually ordered mine and it’s arriving on the 27th. The battery issue is just a concern I have.

Just got the Product RED iPhone SE yesterday and instantly had a feeling of nostalgia rushing over. The good old golden iPhone 6s days. So, i don't have any issues with either the bezels or the design. My one and only concern with this device is the battery life. Not even one whole day with the device and the battery sucks. The A13 is a highly power efficient chipset, but still i don't think that it will last me a one whole day even on normal usage. Hoped the battery would have been a bit bigger like around 2100 or 2400 mAH.
