@Jaquan Kelsor I respect your thoughts and opinions and I hope you enjoy it. To me, plain and simple, the phone is trash bro. I'm sure it performs and does all things well. Most iPhones function this way so that's no surprise. Still rocking a design from literally 8 years ago dating back to the iPhone 6 in 2022 is terrible. As a tech enthusiast, I understand that tech is moving forward constantly so I keep an open mind. When things are dated that's just what they are. According to apple, touch ID is the only reason for this design right?? Yet the new ipad air with the M1 chip has touch ID on the home button that sits on top of the device. Apple couldn't have implemented that tech into the SE and given us a more modern designed device?? It's called the SE right? What's so special about it?? There's no wow factor. Special edition is supposed to make our jaws drop. I like how flossy Carter put it. It's not the special edition, it's the iPhone SAME EXACT!!! I'll grab it for 199 cuz to me that's what it's worth. 430 for this trash is foolery..

You know I agree with you whole heartedly and I appreciate your take. Being a reviewer I see how year after year OEM’s make these devices and the differences are minimal. Yes these companies are doing what there supposed to by making us feel as though we need the latest cutting edge tech even though there aren’t any huge differences. Well that I Guess depends on who you ask. Thinking about your take makes it make sense. Your right the current iPhone design isn’t new either but it’s what they moved on to from the last design which is that of the SE. I don’t recall a company going away from a particular design but continuously going back to it every couple years with updated guts and calling it the special edition. That’s really the only issue I have with it. Indeed I too don’t need a huge display but as it pertains to content watching it’s nice to have. 4.7 is just too small to me sir. I think the iPhone mini at 5.4 inches is a sold screen size. I’ve got the 13 mini and Apple keeps seemingly Ending up confused about whether to continue production of the mini. To me, the mini is the SE. All these phones that are out and Apple still hasn’t grasped the concept of creating a phone with both Face ID and Touch ID. Like every single android device of today. It baffles me how a billion dollar corporation can be so behind the curve. I enjoyed the SE 2020 even tho I slammed its design. I can’t buy the same phone every two years over and over. Think about that. They’ve sold the iPhone 8 several times over only offering updated specs. Clear indication that those who support Apple will literally buy whatever they release and Apple knows this which is why they keep doing this. I can’t support it which is why I didn’t buy it. Plus I’ve got the 13 pro and the 13 mini so don’t really need the SE. maybe I’ll pick one up as a back up phone if I find one for 150 or at the most 199 if not free. Check out the Samsung A53 that’s releasing this Friday. That’s the phone that’s gonna be heavily compared to the SE because there in the same price range. look at what it has vs what the SE lacks. It kills the SE in every way with the exception of the processor. If the A53 were called an SE I’d have no issue with that because it’s near flagship level tech that offers more. Samsung seems to have it figured a bit more than Apple in my opinion.

I’m fine with that. Just offer it to us on a much better design. Like I said in the video, they coulda rebranded the XR and put a home button on the bottom portion of the Device. Being mindful of those that still want the home button doesn’t mean do it by giving us the same phone from 7 years ago. That particular design is from the iPhone 6. Cmon Harrison, you gotta admit this is foolery..

Yeah that a been a good look. They could of done more for the device to live up to the SE name. Apple failed to do that and to me, it’s laziness and complacency on apples behalf.

First let me say....that thumbnail.. xcellent 😁😅! If I should write my full opinion about the iPhone overall, it would take a few hours to write... This will still be very long though 😏 (I'm Norwegian) I do agree with almost everything you just said, again..almost Here er go : I do not like iPhone at all. Not just this socalled "Spesial Edition" and there are many reasons why. Here are some of them...don't take it personal🙂 The Main reason why I just can't stand iPhone, is that it is still to this day a status symbol. At least here in Norway. People won't admit it, but it is. For me a certain type of car, a boat, clothing and a device aso, no matter what. If it is looked upon as a status symbol or if the owner believe it is, then it just makes me sick. iPhone in a nutshell. Iphones overall are just so Xtreme boring, and the SE version just makes it even worse. The last SE was just rubbish. I know this because I bought one just to test it out. The same as I did with the iPhone 4, X and the 12 Pro. As @Hollaturboi would say: Traaaaaash! 🙂 The SE's battery, o the battery. What was Apple thinking other than moneeeey?!? And now it'll drain even more than the last version because of 5G. I think that IOS is so overrated. Apple is what George Orwell wrote about back in the year of 1948. They decide what you can or can not do with your device. They lure you into the garden, then close the gate and you're stuck. They say that it's for protection. I say read Orwell's book 1984! Yes it's well know that Android does keep an eye on you, but at least you have way more freedom. Could go on and on, but I think I made my point to some degree🤘 Remember this is my opinion, and we're all different (but remember that we're all still equal). The world be boring if not, right? Eivind I respect your opinion whole heartedly. To a degree it is a status symbol. I like the lure you into the garden and close the gate analogy. This too is another reason why I wasn’t a fan back in the day. For me in my experience as of recent, the phones does all that I need it to do and it does it well with no hiccups and I really like that about it. I have androids that do far more but as you said once they got you, its hard to pull away. I appreciate your feedback.

Can't agree less. A phone that costs $429 and let's you communicate by text, voice or video, takes great photos and videos and let's you edit them, navigates you when you're driving and entertains you when you want to relax, will get at least 5 years of updates and fits in your pocket is a bargain. We don't all want giant phones, there are tablets for that. The SE 2022 is a great phone for normal people. It also has a more powerful processor than most phones on the market.

429 for the same phone as last year. It don’t matter what people say about faster internals, as apple chips are already beefy as it is. That camera will mostly like be similar. It still doesn’t have night mode? The pixel 4a had night mode at 349. The 4a 5G, 5a 5G easily beats this new SE. And put a headphone jack on that old looking phone! No night mode, no ultra wide cam, no headphone jack, no 90hz, no smaller bezels, no power button Touch ID, no oled, straight garbo!

It's really simple. Apple users don't complain about getting the same looking devices and designs year after year after year. I have been saying this to Android AND iPhone users over and over again. Apple has done such a phenomenal job at hypnotizing their customer base that they could keep the same phone design for the next 10 years and still move major units. I still can't believe Apple users allow themselves to wait 2 hours to charge their phones...lol it's just crazy how Apple can lag behind with certain major features that are so prevalent in the Android world and still sell millions of phones.

SE is phone for people who don't like notch, but like to use iOS. Also, other iPhones has OLED screens which cause headache due to pwm.

Ok so people prefer the big forehead on the top of the phone and the big chin on the bottom?????? Over the notch?? Cmon.. it’s typical human behavior to justify things that they like. They’ll say anything to rationalize foolery. What Apple is doing is foolery in my opinion. The XR didn’t have an OLED panel. It too was a 720p Retina display that looked really good. What’s stopping Apple from taking that phone, doing away with the notch and adding a thicker chin to accommodate Touch ID?? You’ve got something different that Apple hasn’t done before. To me that would be worthy of the special edition title. There’s nothing special about the SE 3. NOTHING!!!!

@@PRISTINETECH If Apple does what you are saying, to take XR design and remove the notch and have touch id at bottom or on side (also have swipe up for home). It will eat their sales from their notched phones, that cost more. Its good for Apple for keep old design in SE, and keep the new-ness for notched iPhones.

@@PRISTINETECH Yeah and those going on and on about how well the last SE sold, fail to mention that the XR outsold by almost 50%. And it cost over $300-$350 more than either SE. Apple is using old tech to take people's money and given them nothing worthwhile in return. Most modern phones have the fingerprint sensor under the display or at least on the side.

@@PRISTINETECH is the notch really that bad? When I watch a KZbin video on my phones with full screens, I get black bars down the side that look just like bezels. Granted I can pinch in to fill the screen but this cuts of the top and bottom of the video.

I give you props for saying what I believe so many are afraid to come out and say. Technology to me should always be progressive and strive to move forward. This phone shouldn't exist, just as I believed the last one shouldn't have existed. And I'll never believe most Apple customers, current or potential, really want the old ancient relic of Touch ID over newer fingerprint technology or Face ID. I see no real proof of it other than content creators that don't want to move on always talking about it. And I damn sure don't see any of them begging for huge ugly bezels that are over 5 years old. I just think Apple needs to treat their more budget conscious and old school customers with more respect, and stop treating them like unwanted step children. Apple is not the first and only company to use old materials and tech on their customers. Most of them dabble in it and now and then. They get called out on it more often than not too. Apple shouldn't get a free pass with this disrespectful money grab. Damn sure won't get it from me.

Apple has customers who will buy anything that has apple on it. They keep using that design because people keep buying them. They increase the price of the newer phones to pigeon hole people into buying the "cheaper" one. Selling it as, "it can do just about everything the flagships."
