The only suggestion for improvement that I have is that it's difficult to see and understand the placement of the little metal clip ( at 6:10), specifically how/where the "part that sticks up" is supposed to lie. If you could zoom in on that or add some better lighting, that'd be awesome. Thank you again! You rock!

this video is so great! I feel very confident about changing my screen. I only wish i actually could. There were a few crucial screws on the plate for the home button that are stripped. any suggestions???

Hey thanks I’m glad it was helpful. Sorry for the trouble. Sometimes having good quality screwdrivers help cuz they don’t damage the screws as quick. I’ve had success sometimes with using a flat screwdriver that was the right size i could wedge in the stripped out head good enough to get it out that way.

The clip did pop out at the beginning! Not knowing you'd show it toward the end there was absolute calm panic. Then, sweet baby Jesus ... you show the clip return (6:11). THANK YOU> BIG HUMONGOUS hug ... Whew! Other then having to pause the video to be able to do the task in the moment this is SO simple because of your how to demo. Apple without their protection plan $169. Me $15 because bought the best screen due to reviewers saying others were abnormally thin on ebay. Just in case, spent a few dollars for the Touch ID button, too, should the other somehow got/gets damaged. One thing I do to help you didn't show ... Stick four pieces of Scotch magic tape to a piece of cardboard. Let them hang away a few inches each. Like, when wrapping Christmas gifts and pulled off a bunch of pieces hanging off the end of a table. Why this kind ... it's not gonna leave a residue on the parts. Then, in order of removal and in the shape they were, add the screws and pieces removed to the tape with the tweezers. No need to 'remember' how they went. While busy paying attention to this video. By the way, the tool kit I used came with the battery replacement kit ordered from Amazon when that whole Apple battery BS happened. Ordered the screen for this project from ebay. Special note, order the thicker screen that's the best for $15. Otherwise, you might get one that's thinner than your original apple screen. Or, so one star reviewers note. Another special note, read a BUNCH of reviews people whined they no longer had touch capability. They didn't understand the parts listed or the difference. You wanna order Touch ID button separate if yours doesn't work. Not just Home button. If your button works order a screen WITHOUT a button pre-installed saying screen and home button. The backup Touch ID button I ordered came with a gasket pre-installed. You can order an extra gasket, but make certain to read which gasket you are ordering specifically for the iPhone SE. Finally, one last special note, if you get a red film on the back of your new screen ... remove this before installation. It doesn't get installed. One reviewer didn't. His lesson is my lesson. I'd of left it on as well. Because there's no directions to remove it. And, not noted here either since I'd guess every company sends different types of screens and parts. Probably depends whom you buy it from. Hope this assists in problem solving and simple switching of screens with mistake prevention and money saving from incorrect purchases with hassle returns.

Yeah I would keep the original home button. That’s why it doesn’t work.
