Used this comprehensive guide to succesfully replace my screen today, thankyou so much. 6:55 On some of those aftermarket screens there's a protective antistatic purple film that's supposed to be removed I think before reinstalling the metal shield. 11:17 That square black insulation pad on the cable above that top left screw is missing on mine so hopefully the 3 exposed wires below it don't short anything out, crossing fingers.

i cant get the home button screws off, are they glued, im nervous to damage anything if i can manage to pull them out, is this common issue?

Mine wont turn on after getting it all back, i tried disconnecting and reconnecting everything screen and battery but after all of that it still wont turn back on. :(
