I love the comparison between the S8 and the X. Extremely informative. I did notice lack of comparing S8's Bixby vs Siri. I own the NOTE 8 which shares a lot of features with the S8 but is slightly larger. I chose the Samsung based on personal experience. I have an S4 which still runs extremely well despite being a virtual dinosaur in terms of smartphones. While both my 5s and 6s+ did not last a full year without having to warranty replace them.

Well I've had a S8PLUS now since April and can tell you something you never covered in your video and that's durability...yes I've dropped my S8 a couple of times now once on concrete and not a scratch .My kids both have iPhones and both are newer and have replaced their screens already iPhones in my opinion for what I've seen are too delicate and don't stand up to ware and tear of regular use and on top of that the battery in the iPhones SUCK!

JEESQUAT s7 battery sucked... I had the s7ans got the iphone 7, i never cracked either. I got the 7 and my dad got the s7 edge (i reocmmended the edge since the regular s7 which i had was cool buttt) and he cracked the back... Hes so much more careful then i am, battery on my 7 lasts longer then my s7, i doubt the s8 is better. I now have the X.. Given, the s8 and note 8 probably has more function in certain areas. The s8 has more ram, but the iphone X has more stability, the X probably has better gaming fpa and quality (thes7edge looks pixelated on asphalt 8 compared to the iphone X/7/8) the iphone X has better speakers, louder speakers, the S8 is saturated in camera and so is the screen (something the iphone isnt, its more true to life) etc, both have their issuws i mean the s8 has pro mode WHICH IS AWESOME and apple is always auto.... Given i dont mind the notch, and personally i dont brake phones, on accident, plus your comparing two kids, and you, your kids. Lmao, it all comes down to personal preference, if i didnr do hw on my phone, (which lagged and sucked on the s7) id stay with Samsung (rhe s7 oled screen was fucking awesome) given, the X now has that oled... And is even better now, given neither are perfect.... If i didnt do hw on my phone, well the OP5T is better, faster, cheaper, oled screen, dual camera, aluminum which is better then glass.... It beats the s8 in speed, ans is cheapee then both

I picked the s8 because you can customize your phone, use the headphone jack, take phenomenal pictures and videos and also plug in an SD card for more storage. It also feels comfortable in your hand with or without a protection case. The new iPhone feels to expensive in clumsy hands and would be an arm and a leg to fix. That is why I choose the s8 over the iPhone X

LSandViper Killer lol note 8 uses its full 1200 nit display under HEAVY sunlight when it detects it also your point about color accuracy is dumb. Go to the settings on the note 8 and change the colors from saturated to basic and it looks way more accurate than iPhone X

I've the S8+, the Note 8 and the iPhone 8+. The iPhone seems obsolete when compared with the other 2. Even the apps that were always better on IOS are now very close on both platforms, particularly those big social media apps. This comes from someone that has used Mac products (all of them) for 8 years almost exclusively.

Super AMOLED added a film layer to improve response times of the oleds. Samsung have been doing this since the note 3. do you really think the SAMSUNG panel in the iPX isnt a super amoled? I see lots of people saying isn't, but never anything to support that theory.

Super AMOLED IS OLED. It's just a samsung marketing term for the way they currently construct their oled panels. I dont expect apple to use a samsung term on their website at all, just like they dont advertise the fact that their oled panels are manufactured by samsung. So i'll ask again, what makes you think the iPX oled arent manufactured the same and where is your proof? Anyway, it's a moot point since what matters is the peformance and the iPX display speaks for itself. It could be made from donkey shit for all i care, it's still a fantastic display and every bit a match for the current gen samsung phones.

Nah i had samsung s8 since the first day it came out in Sweden. My phone started to lag and the battery is awful after just 6 months of usage. I just switched to iphone X with no regrets!

When comparing the iPhone X speakers and the Galaxy S8 speakers, the galaxy offers the headphone jack as an alternative to listening to the speakers them selves with out the inconvenience of having to by an adapter to to lisen to the phone on most headphones. So yes if you are lisining to the iphone x speakers with out earbuds they will sound better, although you can with most apple maid earbuds or earphones. So you either choose the convince of pluging most headphones in and them working right away or having to by$ an adapter to lisen but with better speakers by themselves.

There was a mistake with my ordering an iPhone X and they sent me the S8. I think its a great phone but the response and sensory of touch for the iPhone was far better than the 8. Enjoy the Note 8 and I will enjoy the X.

Lets face it now a days pretty much all flagship phones are very good. Obviously android has more variety but all are good. Comparing one to another is really not accurate in the end. Its what people like. Just like cars , a certain drink , or a cologne you always have in your collection. Samsung is jack of all trades but master of none. The true master is Apple. Take the Face ID for instance. Samsung has that since 2013 and Apple brought it this year and it’s already better (because they test it and spend months and years in development). I can imagine if Apple bring iris scanner now that Face ID is a thing.

I disagree about the App store. Android app store has many more apps and the apps are really are the same for the most part between the two. You didn't even talk about the Samsung's best feature in Samsung Pay. It works at every store because you tap the phone where you swipe the credit card the store doesn't need NFC like it does for Apple Pay to work. Samsung pay is 100% safer than physical credit cards. Samsung Pay totally replaces your wallet. You didn't mention the Gear VR or the DEX dock two peripherals the iphone doesn't have the add a lot of value to the S8. There is no reason to get the iPhone over the S8 or Note 8

This was a hard decision. But, I decided to keep the iPhone x simply because of the stability of iOS and the ecosystem. Really have three Samsung a shot, but Android is still flaky. While I love Android and the customization, the iPhone x is solid and I can run all of my Google apps with the ability of have the Apple only products. Lastly, there is nothing that has dethroned massages. My only issue was the price.

Disagree about the screen. I've used both products and the iPhone X is always quite dim in comparison with the S8 (and especially the Note 8). In fact, it's notably dimmer than the iPhone 8 as well. I wasn't impressed with the iPhone X display. (not even counting that part of the screen is missing in full screen videos) If you don't turn off the iPhone Truetone, you'll be seeing everything in yellow. The rest of your video: I agree with. iPhone X has a nicer screen (also made by Samsung). It has a better camera. It has Face ID and it has IOS. The iPhone also has better speakers and a better ecosystem. Price wise the iPhone is more expensive but it has a much higher resale value. iPhones are also more reliable than Android devices. The new gestures are also good and can only be improved over time. The Samsung is cheaper. It has a nice big screen. I’m not a fan of the infinity display because you keep touching it on accident. Personally I’d choose the iPhone every day of the week.

Samsung’s lag. iPhone = no place to improve experience because it’s not needed. Samsung = clearing RAM, managing the processor and doing lots of tinkering is essentially to keep the phone fast.
