I thought they were doing a bit about the absurdity of Apple stores. When you actually want to buy something, you have to hunt for a sales assistant and trail after them until they notice you, because there are no fucking checkout counters.

was with a friend in an apple store once and we were looking at some 'side' things like chargers or something. he picked one up, and was holding it and we were distracted and left the store. 200 meters down the road he realised he was still holding it (yes he took it back). Probably we got confused because they weren't on the shopping table, but on a hook on the wall. in the corner.

Your local library will provide you with free access to the Internet which is a service all libraries provide in this day and age in the Western world. If you're living in a third world country then you can probably find an Internet café (anyone remember those?) or LAN gaming places with access to the Internet you can pay per hour and you can order your computer there.

***** Then you take a flight to Canada (doesn't matter where as long as it's not the French part) and you take a taxi downtown and you grab the first stranger and say "Hello, would you borrow me your computer so I can order one of my own?". And they'll be so nice about it that it will become the beginning of a beautiful friendship. When you get back home they'll even "like" your stuff on Facebook and comment "that's pretty great, hope you like your new computer". Now, obviously you could just grab the nearest stranger as soon as you set foot in Canada, but being in an airport it means there are bigger chances you'll grab a tourist and you'll get the response "Stranger danger!" and getting hit in the head with their hand bags.

Was this made before after or during the time that these same two comedians were making the "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" adverts, I'm guessing if it was during, they wouldn't have been making them for much longer. Also, this is actually more convincingly real then the Mac v PC adverts

Catherine McLean I second that. His talent highlighted also in the Mitchell & Webb film "Magicians" (2007) which I dearly like. Both of them really have quite an acting range. I'd love to see them in dramas as well.

There is an old adage in photography that the camera you have with you is the best. That means in a modern age that your best camera is probably your phone camera, no matter what spiffy DSLR you might have too - simply because you use it more. So in that sense, if the software you need to do your job is only available on Windows (at least without any mucking about), you're going to use it more and it is pretty much de facto the "best". Even though Windows 8 is also the worst OS in history.

Not really an apropriate analogy because this isn't life or death, however i do agree with you to a certain extent ie, whilst linux is technically a better operating system alot of people myself included continue to use windows on our main system because of 3rd party software support

"Shops have changed" - But no, they have not. It's only Apple's crap-stores that have moved to a "we don't sell anything good" solution of a store, Apple's solution is one step sideways - and two steps in the wrong direction. Only thing missing in Apple stores is a big eye with the italian word "Si" written many times over.

not necessarily. in an ideal world, linux is preferable, but with all of microsofts monopoly and software support, windows is simply better.

Is that a bit of revisionist history or are you just talking out of your arse? When did Steve Jobs ever say that? Mac used to cost a lot more than other systems because they were made of largely custom parts made specifically for them. No other consumer machines used PowerPC CPU's and infact the only other use for the POWER 5 line (in the G5 era) was in IBM made servers and super computer clusters, which are hardly cheap.
