Let me be honest, there qualifications chances totally depends their pace attack. I mean they have the worst pace attack in the whole tornament with stark as their front line Pacers ( who has worst possible stats in t20 in past few years ) and their second Pacers doesn't even have any experience. And their 3-4 Pacers are vinky and Russel who are going to get smashed very hard ( as they are their weekling in Pacers )

This team looks solid if they click together with the kind of surfaces you will get in Eden Gardens. The batting will mainly depend on how Jailor Sahad (Iyer) & Lord Rinku perform in the middle. Their spin department is arguably the best along with GT and CSK in the league.

The only weak link in this team is the coach himself he lacks experience at international level and seemed confused even last season . Because of not being a big name even the players might not be that interested in following his tactics specially because he was a pure ranji team coach before this so obviously he lacks his T20 game knowledge. Gautam is a way bigger personality and it might create ego fights between them and even i feel like something big like Chandrakant pandit leaving the team midway can happen too ! But apart from it everything else seems in place for this team Starc needs to perform in each match almost specially in death overs as the team has struggled in past few years to contain runs during last few overs Starc will have to be at his 2015 best and deliver in each match .

Salt in Indian conditions,Gurbaz not doing great in last season, Venky Iyer not having great form, an iffy Russel with bat and Weighing in on Starc for death overs are major concerns for KKR. KKR's seam bowling seems too dependent on Starc. If that Indian batting contingent plays as per reputation, then that is a strong batting side, and they have an excellent spin attack. Seam is the worry. Like Harsha pointed out, Starc isn't exactly a bank in limited overs cricket anymore.

Ranandeep at 7 .. He can bowl 2 good overs + big hitter at last few overs too.. Suyash will be a impact player in place of Venkatesh Iyer or Rinku sing.. Because Venkatesh is in good form with his bowling in recen time + Nitish Rana too... & except shreyas & rinku everyone can bowl.. So Rinku or Venkatesh will be impact player in place of Suyash.. But Rinku is the very very good filder.. So probably Venkatesh & suyash 😊

I have lot of respect for Harsha and I adore his cricketing talks. But, I feel he has missed a few pointers here and there.. like expectation from phil salt.. he is a gun batsman in superhot form. The batting finish potential from andre rinku ramandeep is huge! Both Iyer and Rana are excellent players of spin and they will have impact. Bowling wise Starc harshit russel- u can expect them to perform atleast 8 matches. Harsha himself like the potential of harshit. Also, the 3 spinners- narine suyash and varun.. good enough on most of the indian surfaces..

Strength - middle order batting - spin attack Weakness - openers - not so good finisher ( not considering Rinku as finisher as he plays at 5 and they don't have good 7-8 ) - pathetic pace attack ( I mean their best Pacer is Mitchell starc whose records in t20 from past few years are totally bad , and they don't even have good Indian pace option, considering they have to use Russel and vinky as their 3-4 Pacers , they are in bad situation) I don't think they are going to qualify ( just like last few seasons) , see kkr fans have to accept that 6 teams aren't going to make into play off and kkr is one of them.

Well kkr do have pretty solid batsman in their squad, the spinners they have are the best in the competition and they should use Mujeeb as a back up for starc as well. Imagine Mujeeb, narine, Varun, suyash bowling in a match. U r absolutely right about the Indian pacers who lack experience but their spinners can do the damage. GG has been given complete control over every single decision of the club. At the end, every decision has to go through him, and i have been asking for this to happen for so long. Earlier, Venky Mysore got so much control and destroyed the club. I am still not happy with Starc, but since GG decide it, i will go with it. Personally, i wanted Spencer and the new South african bowler, bcoz our main concern is stop the leakage of runs. Anyways, hoping for the best.

KKR's biggest weakness has always been the pace bowling in recent times. Leaking runs in the start and death. Just hope Starc is able to change that this year. If yes, rest will sort itself out to become a formidable side.

Why not use Ramandeep as the sub. He can bat down the order, can tonk the ball and can only give you one or 2 overs of medium pace. I know GG is a smart guy and he love allrounders, he will for sure use Ramandeep at 7, Narine 8, Starc 9, Harshit 10, Suyyash 11 & Chakravarty as impact sub

Too early to say anything, but for me KKR is one of those top 2 teams in this year's IPL. If Russell can fire the way he is firing in recent tournaments or International games, they are looking very strong. Salt should start ahead of Gurbaz, Gurbaz is a proven failure, Salt and Venky opening the batting and use Manish at 3. This team looks good.

Their opening was failing, death bowling was in a dead state, spin was not getting much help but they still managed to do well for the disadvantages that they had and the credit for that goes to Rinku Singh's magic with the bat. He single handedly won them at least 3 games. This year they have a far better bowling lineup. Just the addition of Starc gives them much more strength. If they get favourable pitches for spin they'll be even more lethal. The only issue that still remains is their opening. Phil Salt seems to be the best choice as the wk opener but should they just open with Rana/Shreyash and place Pandey in the middle or should they trust Venky once again. Also they don't have a replacement for Starc. But this is a far better team than what they had last year. They are on par with GT, LSG, RR and SRH. But they still lag behind Mumbai and Chennai.

Ipl is not equal to wpl , because many teams doesn't participated in wpl. And if we are considering other league like wpl then mi have won ilt20 recently, srh won 2 sa20 recently. This is unfair because mi have teams in 5 different league so in that perceptive mi will obviously have more chances to many a lot of trophy
