It's notoriously hard to avoid being malnourished while vegan. Vegans will acknowledge this to each other, when they think other people aren't listening, and just constantly lovebomb, and try to circulate tips for making sure people get enough nutrients while staying vegan, because a somewhat common occurrence is for diehard vegans having to start eating animal products again, basically because their doctor tells them they don't really have a choice unless they want to start slowly dying, because being vegan not only makes a balanced diet hard, but it actually damaged their ability to absorb a lot of nutrients from the plant-based foods they've been eating. It's really complicated, and I'm not trying to write a novel, but, yeah, no, being a healthy vegan is harder than being a healthy omnivore.

I’ve worked in the grocery business for 15+ years. Most of it spent working in the produce department. Vegan products are very expensive and most of your chain grocery stores don’t carry a lot of the products because they’re expensive and they don’t settle. People don’t realize that if you decide to go vegan there are a couple things you need to realize. Vegan food is costly. So if you’re going to start eating vegan save your money because it is expensive. Secondly unless you’re going to go to a grocery store that specializes in organic products and vegan products the selection is going to be pretty limited.

It depends on where you run into the wolves. I've ran into plenty of wolves where I come from. Even crossed a couple on the street while out for a walk. I'm from an isolated fishing village in coastal Canada. We have wolves and bears around all year round. Bears tend to be more scared of you than you are of them. Wolves are more confident but they'll still keep their distance so long as you treat them respectfully and they aren't starved. Now run into wolves in the suburbs and that's a different story. Animals are smart enough to know where our territory is, and they know it's bad news to get involved with us. So if they start coming around those types of places, they're likely starved. And all animals are unpredictable when hungry.

@@galenjones9529 The vegans in these videos obviously have no clue what it takes to produce much of their food, anyone who has a clue about how to grow a field of soy (like the one about 8 miles from my house) knows that without the herds of cattle the meat eaters use we couldn't grow the fields of soy. There's no way we could chemically produce enough fertilizer to do it because soy fields can completely destroy the quality of the land, only a few growing seasons and then you have to leave it fallow for years before you can use it again.

To be vegan you need a lot of supplementation, some of those vitamins can only be found in meats, because they're produced by the animal. Imagine for some reason supplements couldn't be made. Be it a mass failure of technology or something more apocalyptic. How long do you think a vegan would live before dying to malnutrition or deficiencies. A year, maybe two. That aside, the ecological impact certain crops have on the environment alone is pretty problematic, as you had said. The amount of land it takes for fields, destroys hundreds to thousands of habitats, pushing the very animals they claim to be 'saving' to adapt or go extinct. Farm animals have a more efficient space to nutrient ratio, even if some of the methods might be questionable. Some vegans, from my understanding; choose that lifestyle because they can't stomach how the animals are treated. To be entirely honest I've hunted animals in far less humane ways than anything you'd find at a slaughterhouse. Just so that I could eat when I'm in the bush. Example: Stunning a pheasant by shooting it in the head with a rock fired from a slingshot. Then wringing it's neck. A few times, they'd come to and I had to stamp on their wing to pin them down. It's not a fun experience but when you're hungry, you'll pick the most efficient method. Even if the method is grizzly and uncomfortable.

I have a sister who quite literally *couldn't* eat meat for a long time, she was born without certain acids to break down the proteins in meat (she would violently throw up any time she digested red meat specifically). Over time her body naturally started producing said acids, and she tried meat for the first time in over a decade and a half a few years ago. She's still a big fan of vegetables in general, likely from having them be her almost sole diet for more than half her life, but she said eating meat just felt natural, and now she get's a steak or fried chicken any time she has the option to.

Most people say over consumption of meat is the problem due to environment purposes. Actually this is incorrect. Agriculture alone makes up roughly 10-15% of our global CO2 emissions. Reducing it to 0% will not solve our problems. Our main problem is our energy production. It makes up 72% of our global emissions. Simply switching to cleaner energies will solve the problem entirely. Food is never the problem and we don't have food shortages in the world. Food is just being mismanaged.

Many of these animals you just listed are not some big fan of human flesh. The reason why there are cases where they have killed humans. it's not because they like to eat humans. Business cannot survive without government, government cannot survive without business. Therefore, it is in the best interests of both that government bailout business during a temporary disruption like a pandemic. But if the government bailed out all the people directly instead and allowed US businesses to fail this would be unsustainable because without businesses the US government does not have the money to indefinitely support the people; they all need businesses to survive. Millions losing healthcare, jobs and the coming evictions are all individual problems to be solved individually with either the existing safety net or maybe some new limited measures. Not everyone lost healthcare, or jobs, or houses, so not everyone needs a bailout. If the government gave even the full 6 trillion in bailouts to all people directly, tons of those are wealthy retirees who need none of it anyway, tons of those are wealthy successful employees and business owners, only a fraction are people who lost jobs or houses and each of those would only get around $20,000 which would barely cover rent for a year. By giving to corporations they intend for the money to be spent more wisely in maintaining a thriving economy that is competitive internationally rather than just softening the impact of losing that economy for a year or so.

I don't understand the argument that being vegan is healthier. Being vegan is literally just being able to eat what normal people eat, but less. The best vegan diet will always be worse than the best diet, because the vegan diet has less choices and restricts good sources of nutrients. It is just a matter of how good the diet is planned. Vegan diets can be good, but it has nothing to do with it being vegan

That’s true a lot of vegan diets aren’t healthy or at least aren’t balanced also companies are catching on to the vegan trend making vegan potato chips vegan candy. I think labeling something vegan doesn’t mean it’s healthy but makes people assume it’s alternative healthy snack.

Being vegan in my country is quite expensive. The vegan diets preached usually consists of these imported vegetables not readily available in my country. Some people have more food sensitivities to plants as well. Like there are people allergic to nuts, soy and wheat. I think people should be able to live their own lifestyle as long as it is not hurting anybody.

Food chain as I understood it goes like this, maggots eat dead flesh, frog eats fly, bird eats frog, cat eats bird, cat dies, maggots eat dead cat. Or such a manner and to be considered as top of the food chain is to be the top predator in your food chain. Humans are the top predators and are the top of all food chains because nothing naturally hunts us or eat us on a regular.

Majority of the people don’t hunt the meat themselves, you go to a supermarket and buy what some slaughter worker has killed and wrapped in plastic and you go to the supermarket and buy it, that is not the food chain. The food chain is a natural order that exists in nature and is a part of the ecosystem. Factory farming, artificial inseminating and breeding animals by the billions just so we can kill them and eat their flesh is not natural and is not part of the natural order and certainly isn’t the food chain. These animals we eat wouldn’t exist because they have been genetically modified and selectively bred so by that reason alone isn’t part of the food chain, these animals are completely unnatural. The concept of the food chain is so flawed when it comes to the way we eat animals because people aren’t doing it in a way that would symbolize natural order or something that would actually be in the food chain.
