Something I’ve realized is a lot of times the more attractive people have less body counts then the ones who aren’t as attractive. Attractive people can afford to have options and they aren't treated like having standards is some cardinal sin unlike their counterparts. They barely have to worry about feeling validated because they're constantly reassured of their worth, even if people's treatment of them is superficial at the surface level. Combine that with the societal pressure to be in relationships, have sex and sleep around, and you get the Promiscuity Renaissance Era that's happening now, especially amongst average to below average people. TL;DR: Society values sex and physical appearance above all else. People who feel undervalued see this and try to indulge in it as much as possible to order to feel valid.
