Hi Aba & Preach! Thanks for reacting to my video. Since there were some unanswered questions about their background, these girls are all between the ages of 23-30. A lot of them weren’t fully comfortable answering details about their upbringing but I can confirm not all of them come from affluent backgrounds. One thing that has become clear to me from doing these interviews is that so many are unaware of the stats and reality. We just shot another video this weekend with a new group of girls so stay tuned lol

Let’s be real here. How many multi-millionaires are married to women who were making even close to what they make prior to marriage? There’s no shame in manifesting a wealthy man because wealthy men do not care for a woman’s money the same way an average man would. I hear what you’re saying, but it means nothing really because a woman making $650k still wants a man making the same.

TV and the internet brought these people up. Eventually, everyone in the tv show Friends had a really high paying job at some time. Oh, sure, Rachel waitressed at a coffee house for a few seasons making $20k per year but then she magically became a Buyer for a major clothing cooperation and probably made $200k. And her clothing choices or spending habits never changed except for that one episode.

Watching this video is crazy as a daughter of a working class man. I remember as a little girl, hyping myself and getting mentally prepared to marry a poor man and endure a lot of years of barely making ends meet. Because thats what my mom did to marry my father. And I want some one like my father, he is the best man I know. My father is an upstanding, hardworking, loving man. He sacrificed so much for his family and I am grateful for everything he gave us. I knew that if I wanted that type of man, he would probably be where my father was which is among the hardworking men around me. Not in the wealthy men that care more about making it then making a family. If I found a good man and he was well off, then praise the Lord. But if I found a good man who was barely making ends meet, then praise the Lord. I won’t have to worry because he will take care of me. My dad had to go through a lot of work before his small business was doing well enough to support a family. I was ready as a little girl to the same thing my mom did which was stand by my man. Women like the ones in the video just seem so shallow to me.

@@valv3277 it wasn't that difficult, it's really just time and dedication. I started on the ground floor as an apprentice tool and die maker, while I was becoming a Journeyman toolmaker(which took about 5 years) I taught myself how to use this engineering design software and started taking over some of the overflow design work in that same company, and also bought my own house. I moved from that position into a design engineer position in an aerospace company, just using all the skills I had gathered and have been basically job hopping every 2ish years maximizing my wage and happiness. I'm now about 11 years into my career making over 125k as a senior process engineer and legit work at a company that I can retire from. And I started late. I didn't begin my career until 23, I graduated and turned 18 in 2008 when the economy was collapsing. So with time and dedication, I truly believe anyone can do what I did. I spent many nights teaching myself new things and still do to this day.

I grew up in a household with a SAHM and dad bringing in approximately $200k and I didn’t have half of these expectations when I got married. I like nice things, but I recognized what it meant for my dad to have to work 12 hour days and be super stressed so we would have good things. I dated a man making $150k and all he ever did was try to buy me, but it wasn’t a genuine relationship. It was like he was waiting for me to be impressed by his money and felt no need to connect with me as a woman. I married a wonderful Christian man making average money and I’m sooo happy with him. People who emphasize this need for money are often very empty inside. They want to make up for everything they are missing internally by getting things. I had a lot of things and I can guarantee that if you cannot be content without them, you won’t be content with them. Also, I had a great relationship with my dad growing up. I wanted to marry someone like him way more than I wanted to marry someone with money. We should look at these girls relationships with their parents and see whether they’ve been fulfilled in any of their family relationships.

If she wants an early retirement or high income but isn’t on track because she spends her least dollar she isn’t for me. There is a huge difference between a stay at home mom who takes care of 99% of the cooking, cleaning and childcare (or more depending on your property) and a woman who wants to work full time and also not contribute anything. She's keeping all of her money, not doing anything around the house and expecting everything from him. I put in at least 60 hours a week of straight up getting things done as a stay at home mom who homeschools. But I also don't expect the stuff these women do. We live humbly, well within our means. If I was married to a wealthy woman and we could live off of her income, I would be doing 100% of everything too. She wouldn't have to touch anything dirty or go hungry. I don't see how people can want someone to pay ALL of their bills, take away their necessity to work these dry jobs out here (which is the worst part of life), and not be willing to do 100% of everything else around the house. You literally have no need for a job thanks to your spouse, you owe it to them for them to not have to do anything when they get home.

As someone who grew up in poverty, Aba was speaking factual on the idea that you can't even conceptualize what it is like to have money. My current roommate makes over 60k a year and to me the first year or so it felt like he was the richest person to me because he could do things like simply buying things he wanted, getting food from fast food restaurant casually. Mf when I was a kid, getting fast food was like eating at high end restaurant that you did every now and then when you came in with "some money" for it. Even now after my last job and realizing how little I would of made working full time a whole year, I realized that if I just simply made 50k a year I would living living and be making more money than any of my family members have ever made. I'm now trying to get there. These women just want to live like rich people with other people's money because they are used to it. Just as the saying goes, once you go up you don't want to go back down.

Same. My first job out of college was $25k. I was barely breaking even with rent and commuting costs. Going from that to $55k in just 2 years felt like I was rich. Already making what my parents did combined. I was saving cash and having everything I needed. At 6 figures in my early 30s now and I buy crap I don't even need. Even to this day I don't really conceptualize more than what I make. The kind if shit these girls want and their 'lifestyle' would be too incompatible with what I want or raising a family. When someone says they want to be a stay at home mom and their ideal car is NOT a minivan......their priorities are fucked and coming from a place of insane privilege - butlers and maid servants kind of privilege. Like you can't even fit groceries in a Ferrari lol

It’s honestly so sad the state of the dating world in 2022. And for people thinking this is an exaggeration it’s not. I make 160k a yr and I’m a software engineer in NYC. Even in an expensive city like NYC I’m a top 7% earner. Dated a girl for 2 months who thought I wasn’t being ambitious enough and should strive to make 500k. @@Cugastratos That's what you'd think you'd do. Most likely wouldn't end up that way. Firstly because of the taxes in that income bracket. Second, because you usually have to spend money on equipment, material, employees, etc when you're making that much money. Third, vehicles and housing, and when you're making that much money you're probably not going to want to live in a one bedroom apartment because you can afford better. And a bigger nicer house means more upkeep costs, a higher electric bill, etc. You'd have to be spending more because you're making more. At 650,000? The income tax rate is 37%. Let that sink in. More than 200,000 of what you're making is just gone. In my state, the annual median property tax is about 4K. But as you'd be making bank, we'd assume double that at 8K and then for business expenses.... The average estimate for the first year of a small business is 40K. So at least 20K- if not more. I'm guessing you'd have to pay 50% or more just to be earning that much and living well enough. It's literally impossible to be making 650K and only spend 40K without committing tax fraud. Honestly? More income isn't exactly all that much better. I mean... Fuck. 37%? That's insane. It's 12% if you're making under 90K when filing jointly. Above that it jumps up to 22%. Which... Actually is really bad for some households, if they end up making more than 90K... Suddenly having 10% more money taken away.... That can be absolutely crushing if they have a large family or a mortgage, or are still paying off a loan or something. Our tax system is fucking weird.

@@plzletmebefrank You are talking about running a business, not how much is made in paid income for an individual after all is said and done. Those who learn how to manage money properly in poverty find it much easier to keep living expenses low (if they so choose) in wealth. You know what making “good money” is? Being able to pay your bills, pay for food and clothes on your back, save some money and having something left to either get something nice for yourself sometimes (I don’t mean something extravagant necessarily, but if you save up for something sure!) or save it to go on a vacation perhaps with people you want to make memories with. I don’t mean extravagant vacations either btw. That’s, to me, a good amount. And bills and other expenses are being taken care of by both, not just the man, unless you have other agreements. You don’t need extremely high incomes to be happy. It makes finances easier, but it sure will not make you happier. And I personally don’t want to spend my life making money, i want to enjoy my time. Making money to live instead of living to make money.
@iamamodel7

Jordan Peterson quotes research that found that happiness increases until about US$ 60k, but doesn't increase past that point, which holds your statement true. From my own personal experience, every word you said is spot on. As a child I was oblivious that we were raised with a substantial amount of welfare and charity. Having to sit with another class all day because we couldn't afford the school excursion my classmates were on is not a pleasant day. I'd say $60k is enough to save a child from that embarrassment. My clothes were always clean though. Holy shit I just remembered my mother used to save the first rinse water from the washing machine into buckets to save on laundry detergent.
@danielle6228
@danielle6228 Жыл бұрын
@@iamamodel7 Jordan Peterson is a very smart man. I don’t always agree with what he says, but he has a lot of points I definitely agree with. I do think there is one flaw which is that his statement is based on a certain part of the world, so it won’t apply to everyone exactly. I also remember some of the hardships, but I also remember how value was completely different back then. Playing a board game with the family and enjoying quality time, instead of being sucked into a phone all day. We needed different things back then, just like the need is different in other parts of the world right now. 60k might be a fortune to some, otherworldly, while in other parts it might be barely enough. That’s why I didn’t state a number. I think your believes on what you desire are a grand part in your happiness. If you always want above your means, you will never be truly happy. The part where embarrassment became a problem is when the school planned trips above people’s means. There was a time when we all depended on each other to live. When did that become something to be embarrassed about, because we still depend on each other. Yet we now make it a competition to see who makes more money and who has the nicest things, while true connection is something we forgot how to accomplish. It’s a strange world. I remembered sharing a book and being excited to work closely with my mate and we had a blast playing in the fields and climbing trees, making little cabins with wood we could find. We didn’t need anything. Ofcourse my parents were worried, because they had to pay the bills and pay for food, but they also were present. I dare say that those were one of the happiest times though and right after when we were Financially stable. I honestly miss those times today.
