Our trip to Iran could not have been any more ambivalent. The first four weeks were some of the happiest weeks during this entire trip. We paired up with a friend and the energy between us was so magical, that the trip turned into something special we haven't experienced before. But everything changed after Sept 18th when Mahsa Amini died and the internet was cut and riots started all over the country. On top of that one of our bikes broke in a way that ended up in a long period of hitch-hikes. The situation made us change our whole plan for the upcoming winter and also made clear to us one more time, why we are out there to fight social injustice, no matter in what shape it appears.
