We don't have any problem with Iran we'd love to have good relations with them. But Iran was a destrabilizing force in Iraq since 2003. They clearly want and wanted control and to see how, just look at how many different political parties and militias there are with the same ideology and allegiance to Iran. This is clearly an effort to control them, kind of like the US divide and conquer strategy but taken a level higher. I have to remember a time when we had a prime minister that Iran didn't agree to, maybe only in the transitional government. I admit that Iran's help against ISIS was a heroic action and as an Iraqi I'll be very grateful for that. He involved us in wars that neither he nor the country could withstand its implications. He tortured and killed a staggering number of people and used the most brutal ways in doing so (with some sites of mass graves uncovered after his rule ended) Although Iraq was more organized than it is now, meaning crime would not go unpunished, no militia, people lived in peace (unless they oppose the regime of course which implies lack of freedom) and things were somewhat fair. Which is why there are still people who want him back (especially some Sunnies and some of those who benefited from him) sometimes jokingly and I think this just ridiculous.
