There is stringent rules and checks you have to go through to acquire a license, they will never issue anyone with one if you say " i want a gun because its my right and i wish to own one" and even if you do manage to acquire a license you cannot keep them at your home for thoseinterested in target practice are required to leave the guns at the firing range. Hello from California (send help). I recently picked up a Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 (.22LR) for afew of reasons: -Only AR platform rifle that doesn't need the dreaded Bullet Button here. (I think) -.22LR is cheap as balls (generally) -Easy to shoot (the wife LOVES it.) -For California, the gun was cheap ($350) -Great trainer. Just joined the army so yeah be nice to have SOME idea how the gear is going to work. -Other justifications im too lazy to remember :P
