$1500 AR fully kitted out my way, $4500-$5000. Owned an SR-25 years ago. That sucker fully set up with optics, suppressor ext was over $10,000. Things to get are spare lower parts kits, oops kits, basically spare parts for all internal parts including replacement barrels. Also if you ever upgrade your internals like controls, trigger and hammer, buffer, buffer spring, keep the original factory parts. Keeping the original parts are always spare parts.

The true cost of gun ownership is ammo. Unless you get your shit for free like most youtubers that is the highest cost. Everytime the average person goes to the range and shoots that is all self bought. It must be nice to blow through 1k rounds in a youtube video when its all provided free.

Love the video. My only issue with insurance companies covering your weapons in case of fire/flood/theft is that you have to give them a list of all your weapons, serial numbers & pictures of those weapons. You have to weigh the choice of being private & off of registration lists with needing to give all your weapon info to an outside source. Just something to consider

It has gotten to the point where I am sleeping with it, I know it sounds funny but the faction of the time it would take me to reach for it versus having it really close to me is the factor of getting the shot off or getting shot. Antique weapons are like antique cars. People just love their 32 Fords and such. "It's got so much potential." "They don't make them like this no more." All of the information and ammo and weapons is too much for 1 person. Unless it is in another safe. Then 99.9% of the time they will give up. Or if there are dummy safes. Of if the safe its just too hard to get into and too small to work for the insides. Also consider when you move can you move with it wothout help? Or a crane? Ive seen safes at 600 lbs.
