We were supposed to go to Ireland this fall for 26 days but with Covid who knows. If not this fall hopefully in fall 2021. Thank you for sharing your trip. I’m going to watch them all after finding this one.

I hope you get to go soon! We were lucky to have two weeks there, so we saw quite a bit of the country. Maybe the videos will help you plan your future trip! Thanks for watching!

Wow! This is fantastic. I'm thinking about making a trip there sometime soon. The weather looks like it was perfect - what time of year did you visit?
@TheWanderingWife6 жыл бұрын
+kabresson we were there in early June. The weather was cool most days and rainy for at least part almost every day, but that’s Ireland! Just take rain gear and dress in layers and you’ll be fine. It’s a beautiful country. I also highly recommend renting a car and driving yourself, and stay in BnBs so you meet some locals. They’re so nice and very hospitable!

@@TheWanderingWife Sounds wonderful! Thank you for all of the advice! Will be sure to prepare a rain coat and extra layers. Definitely interested in the road trip and BnB idea! I will check some places out via the AirBnB link you provided. Thanks again!

kabresson awesome! If you’re new to AirBnB, that link will give you a discount. Plus, we found the hosts to be super helpful giving us ideas and directions.

The population of Ireland still hasn’t recovered to its estimated pre-famine, pre-American exodus rates. And now that the repopulation rate has dropped to a zero rate, it will most likely never recover. I’m heading there in June for my second trip and to take my one and only sister on her first trip. Our 9 brothers have had multiple brother trips. lol

Looks like you had a blast! I loved your video. We studied abroad in Dublin last semester at UCD and it was amazing. We've been posting videos from our experience there and would love it if you could check it out!

Just watching your video again.Sign for wheelchair users in the country is as result probably mainly the result of two organisation that look after people with intelectual disabilities in the community in county kilkenny.While most of the residents don't require wheelchairs an odd one will,so thats probably why that sign is there.

I wouldn't advise any tourist to call northern ireland and the republic as separate countries technically they are,but culturally they are many areas of the north more irish than anywhere in the south.The unionist community veres much more to scottish and british culture.So if your going there i would avoid us the terms ireland northern ireland or north of ireland when talking to locals most times people are OK,but you will get the odd one hardcore individual from either community

Clay, thanks for your input. I was merely echoing what all of my tour guides said while we were there. 😊

I cringed when I saw you pulling out of the carpark at the airport wit your luggage in full view on the back seat. Unless you are going directly to your accommodation PLEASE lock your luggage in the trunk - the Irish call it the "boot". If you plan to rent a small car, reduce the size of your luggage accordingly.

We were going directly to our BnB. 😁 thanks for watching and for making that point for others to also learn from.
