I still unapologetically love Dustin's song (thought it was a great Eurovision parody and honestly a little catchy). But, I love to see Bambi Thug presenting some of our old pagan heritage, who are credited with the genesis of Halloween after all. Plus we're home to Bram Stoker and Le Fanu, two of the greatest gothic horror authors of all time, it's nice to see Ireland's spooky side represented and celebrated.

Thank you sooooooooo much for your awesome reaction. Bambi was a ballerina, who broke her foot, hence the artistic performance. The first time I heard this, I thought WTF???!!! However, hearing it a couple of time, I LOVE it, it's amazingballs ;) What a performer! A young 22 year old Spanish directed this. An amazing, unique, creative, artistic performance, a masterpiece, Ireland's Bambi 12 points. Thanks again xx

We Pagans/Wiccans see a lot of symbolism in this song and performance. One of the symbols is the fight against one's demons, and their destruction, which can be seen at the end of the performance. Throughout this story, the demon tries to take over the body, tries to seduce with beautiful melodies (which are heard in those parts of the song that are fairy-tale), tries to control the body, but at one point it breaks away and screams Doomsday BLUE! (like this is your doom). Are you people blind and don't see any symbolism? Oh, Christianity has brainwashed you hard. There are other ways to describe this song, but I'll leave it up to you to see if my comment enlightened you at least a little and opened your eyes in some way. All the other things seen here are just one view, one side of the coin, one angle view, and there are others. The witch solves it in her own way Kisses from the Witch 💋😈 (and be careful I don't turn you into a frog hahah).

Hi, great reation. A couple of interesting facts about Bambi Thug. They are Non-Binary, and use they/them pronouns, and are actively supporting the trans community in this performance with their trans flag bikini. They use celtic runes throughout the performance, and one of the irish words on their face makeup translates to 'ceasefire' in english, a nod to thier support of palestine. They are wiccan, and openly support celtic paganism, and incorporate many elements of celtic paganism into their performance.

I don't really like that this person is representing Ireland at all. My first issue is that I think we should have pulled out of the competition completely to support Palestine. The fact that she decided to continue in the competition makes me lose respect for her, especially considering the fact that she is pro Palestine. It's hypocritical. Also, throughout the months of the horrors going on in Palestine, Ireland has been a big supporter of them compared to most countries. So it's kind of disheartening to see all our support go down the drain. Secondly, the lgbt stuff. It's so unnecessary and doesn't make sense. I don't care what you are, so why is she making it her whole identity, displaying the trans flag. She's meant to be representing the Irish flag. We're not all trans in Ireland. It's just silly, and I genuinely don't get it. Thirdly, the satanic performance. Honestly, I'm just watching it dumbfounded. It's weird, doesn't represent Ireland at all. I'm not Christian or religious in any way, so I'm not "scared" of this "devil" stuff. I just think she's too westernised to properly represent Ireland. Boycotting the event is what got Israel to 5th place. Literally everyone in Europe who hate Muslims and want to see them removed voted for them. LGBT stuff is always unnecessary but artists always put their own touches on things. She isn't even actually transgender, just a woman saying she is non-binary which is odd. Getting a rise out of the religious people might have been stupid but it points out the fact that how can you be offended by this Halloween sketch of a video but not care that you're supporting a "state" committing genocide.
