Ireland is an EU country. You may have confused the Republic of Ireland which has Dublin as its capital with the Northern Ireland which has Belfast as it's capital. Republic of Ireland is in Europe Union while Northern Ireland is in the UK

Did you register with the NMBI? You can't work as a nurse in any European country without first registering with their nursing governing body so they can check your qualifications, skills, experience and language ability.
