I'm watching this teary eyed just after hearing the news of this beautiful lady's passing. She was 63 and passed in her Florida home. To me, she is one of the most melodic voices in music. Up there with Karen Carpenter and Yvonne Eliman. She will be missed but her music lives in eternity, just as her soul does. 😍

It's been oh so many years since I last listened to this song. So I was surprised at myself at how enamored of and touched by Irene Cara's performance at my age. Well written lyrics, beautifully sung by the young Cara. I also loved the small part of Bruno's dad. He perfectly portrayed the down to earth, rough and tough, uneducated, but soft-hearted and gentle taxi driver.
