I've been obsessed with The Kids From Fame ever since I was 13. I still have all the records, the fanzine and the memories from seeing them live in concert twice. I adored Gene Anthony Ray's character Leroy and even got to shake his hand at one of the concerts. That moment has stayed with me ever since. That show had a huge impact on my teenage self. If anyone had told me back then that I would be Facebook friends with Erica Gimpel I think I would have spontaneously combusted on the spot 😊❤

I think this video is the key to all teachers of performing art on the high school and college levels depicting the goals of student achievement in its perfect form.. how a singer and a pianist in perfect harmony become inseparable during a performance when their emotions and the lyrics of the song are united and the singer sing from the heart to the pianist who produces the music and the adeance suddenly feel the music and the lyrics in there hearts and start to sing along as if they have heard the song before and are amazed because in fact this is truly the first time they know that they have ever heard this particular song in their life because it is a new composition that they are hearing in that moment. Basicly, the song becomes like a childhood lulaby that the audience has learned when they were little from a mother or father. The song becomes unforgettable in the audience's mind forever, something to be treasured forever and passed on to families always. @shauncroc It's was during the episode when Lydia and Coco were auditioning for the same role on broadway, only to learn that the part had already been cast before they even had a chance to perform. The scene is when they both head back to the dance studio at the school together and perform a dance sequence to this song that they both actually sang as a duet, except in the scene it was used as background music to their dance duet instead of them singing it.

She truly represented an artist, wanting to be the best and taking risks, and being loyal to her friends. seasons 3 and 4 were ok but in season 5 originality and realism in went haywire. Prime example sherwood, in season 4 lydia asked if she could be a teacher or a novelist what would she do, she replied I would do both, but in season 5 she leaves to be a novelist in maine not true to character. shed never leave it meant too much toher

rhymeandreasoning I tHink she was unhappy with the way the show was going so the producers wrote her out in episode 8 of the third season but gave her this swansong episode though she did return for an episode in season 4 - the series went downhill from this season and in the next one they had to introduce a lot more newer characters but it never felt the same again
