I stopped eating granulated sugar or anything in a box for the past year. For a snack I eat natural peanut butter with slices of an apple or peanut butter on a banana. Good stuff and I dropped 40lbs.

When I was a kid, mom wouldn't let me have Cinnamon Toast Crunch because of the sugar. I also still like the old mascots...the three chefs. My fav cereals as a kid were Apple Cinnamon Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Kix, Berry Berry Kix, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes, Raisin Bran, Golden Grahams, Life, Captain Crunch, and Apple Jacks.

Not all Americans Jake. I do read labels, and look out for "bad" ingredients, etc. before I eat any food. Especially breakfast cereals, because of the recent recall of many of those cereals having Roundup in them. I think it was mainly the General Mills cereals like Cheerios and Quaker oats that have that chemical in them which has been proven to cause cancer, as well as other cereal companies. Sodium tripolyphosphate is another bad chemical they are putting into our food. Kinda makes you wanna go organic/vegetarian or just grow your own stuff. At least you know your source from where your food is coming from.

American here, and big cereal fan. Peanut Butter Crunch and Cinnamon Toast Crunch are favorites. Any Cap'n Crunch cereal should come with a warning, though. They will straight up shred your gums. The secret is to not bite down all the way.

Peanuts were said to be able to feed America. They are easy to grow and have a high yield for area of crop and seed. We have spent most of recent history fairly poor, so a cheap crop that is nitrogen fixing was an easy choice. Also American farmers saw what happened to other countries with other crops (Ireland and potatoes) so they tried a different crop lol
