For those of you spending the holiday by yourself like me, instead of trying to cook too much, just go to your local deli and get them to cut a few thick slices of turkey and use that as your foundation. Add in your favorite sides and you have a perfect meal for one. Oh, and don't forget your favorite adult beverage. Mine will be some Johnnie Walker Blue Label. All the best to each of you!

As someone from the United States, betting your take is the original recipe. Plate of "streaky" bacon and a bottle of Jim Beam. Eaten in a La-Z-Boy recliner, watching American football after the main meal in a greasy, threadbare undershirt. 🤣

@@paulherman5822 I prefer pork strips ;) But regular bacon strips (the thin ones) works! I love everything related to pig meat. When it comes to whiskey, I would in this case prefer something less smokey and more bland, just to make sure it fits with the smokey bacon. I really don't enjoy sports so I'd view 'Married... with children'. You got the last part correct though ;)

The night before Thanksgiving is unofficially the biggest bar night in the US, because the people away at university come back to their hometowns often for the first time in the school year and end up hanging out with hometown friends back at their hometown bars. So back in the day, the only Thanksgiving shot I was doing on Thanksgiving was Tylenol and maybe Pepto Bismol 😂

My family has a traditional thanksgiving drink that we enjoy every year. It's: 1 part whisky 2 parts also whisky. Serve in any glass and garnish with whatever, idk. Nothing probably.
