you're sorta wrong-- hot food slowly breaks down the membranes of cells inside your intestines and after prolonged exposure to spicy food, you can develop colon cancer

Gary Wu do you have a source? Capsaicin isn't corrosive at all, and only burns because it activates the TRPV1 receptors, which detect high temperatures. Other animals without these receptors like birds and fish don't feel any kind of burning sensation upon exposure to capsaicin. This is in contrast to the spicyness that comes from onions, ginger, horseradish, etc, which actually are corrosive. I'll need to see an actual source for a link between capsaicin and colon cancer, because afaik, there is none.

It's actually the opposite; there's not much research done but there's some folks who believe that Capsaicin can help prevent/fight colon cancer.

banana brain I once made a chilli con carne so hot I couldn't even eat it. I had to open all the windows in my house while cooking it, I knew I went too far... Anyway a friend knocked in to try some and after one spoonful he came to the same realisation that it was inedible. So we went for a few pints of Guinness and when I came home fairly jarred I polished it off. Without going into too much details, that was the last time I cried 😢😢. Lesson learned, don't mix freakishly hot chilli and a feed of Guinness.

I love how quickly (granted, the video was cut, but for us it seemed quick) Irish Jesus went from loving the first curry to regretting every life choice that led him to that point. He did go straight beast-mode on that last one, though. Also, this would have been a crappy challenge for me, because I knew every answer...
