I am making a 10” version in 3 x 2 inch high tins. Will let you know how it turns out 👍. I don’t have any higher tins so 🤞

Thank you for the recipe! All this time i was adding the oil and milk before adding the flour, and result was a cracked topor sometime was dome like😢. Not now thanks to you! Lots of love 💕

I have absolutely no pan that high. I have a single 8*3, a single 9” springform, and the rest (6, 8 and 9”) are all 2” high. How would you suggest I bake these off? If I understand, having a taller pan makes a cake rise higher. As an American, tall sponge cakes (aside from Angel food) are not the norm, which may explain why my pans are shorter.

Does the cake not stick to hard to the ungreased tin then?

No. You simply loosen it with a knife. If you grease the tin it will loosen and bake inwards. Try both ways and you’ll see what I mean ☘️

Can you help with cakes falling in the middle?? It’s happening me all the time lately and I’ve my daughters cake to make this week as well as a charity cake for a family in direct provision ☹️
