Thanks Danny, I loved the way 85 and 461 were sitting side by side each other in the sidings, it really made a good shot, and the Malahide shot really came out well, a great ending for the 50th anniversary !

As youngsters in Ireland, we always loved it when the trains passed by at a leisurely rate, as it provided us a great chance to bounce a few ripe tomatoes off some of the pork-pie-faced blokes who stuck their mugs out the window/door openings. Mon Dieu, what fun. ESPECIALLY if they were holding a pint a' bitters that they then dropped! Ho-Ho-Ho!...as Monsieur Santa would say.

Where do you go to get to the Connolly shed sidings

There is an exit on platform 1 which leads to a car park, the sidings are right next to the car park.
