The Roomba 981 is advertised as being designed to pick up dog hair. This is a lie. I have a dog and have to go over it with a $100 cheapy vacuum first. This defeats the object of buying the Roomba. It doesn't pick up dog hair or anything over 0.5mm. It will not pick up polystyrene bubbles at all - not one. Yes, it is working. Note that the price has fallen for the 980 series from $1,200 to $250. It needs full-time maintenance. Normal vacuums are generally maintenance-free.. My advice is to buy a good normal vacuum. All robot vacuums have weak suction. No better than a car vac that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket.

works for me and i have a 100lb german shepherd. if it worked when you first got it, but now doesnt, you're not maintaining/cleaning it well.

clean filter. check the hole that leads to the bin to see if debris is stuck inside and preventing it from reaching the bin.

Great question! If the red full bin indicator is illuminated or blinking, it means the bin is full. Roomba cannot continue cleaning until the bin is emptied.

This video indicates that you “should” clean your roomba. It DOES NOT indicate “how” to clean it.
