Iron Gwazi In-Depth Ride Review - Is it better than Steel Vengeance?

COULD they have used those leftover footers from Gwazi to lengthen the layout? Yes. But doing so could have put the coaster at risk of dragging out the layout like SteVe did. When I rode Steve for the first time, it was barely crawling back into the station, whereas Iron Gwazi comes flying into the brakes with fury. I’ve had 8 rides total on Steve over 3 visits, and 5 on Gwazi and to me there is no doubt Gwazi is the more insane, crazy, and overall better experience. Not to take away from Steve, but I think Gwazi is the Magnum Opus of Alan Schilke, it’s pure perfection. Great video and analysis Jack, I didn’t think you were being too nit picky at all, you made some valid points!

All great points Joey! Luckily most of my rides on Steel Vengeance never really slowed down at all or felt like it was dragging, but yeah Iron Gwazi really is the pinnacle of Schilke's madness haha, thanks for watching!

“Better” is subjective. I’ve met a few people at Busch gardens who rode SteVe and prefer Iron Gwazi. I guess it is just personal preference. Some prefer the long duration of SteVe and some prefer iron gwazi’s relentless pacing. Regardless, it’s an incredible new type of ride that Busch gardens Tampa really needed.

Oh completely subjective! I guess I shoulda mentioned that somewhere in the video, but I totally respect anyone who prefers Gwazi over Vengeance.

I think Steel Vengence blows Iron Gwazi away. Gwazi only has a better first drop but after that its a complete stomp. Every single hill on SV was such gut punch and It didnt slow down on the mid course. It truly felt like a mechanical bull and I have never felt anything like that on coaster other than a single rail coaster. I think both Fury 325 and Intimator 305 also are far better than gwazi.

Totally agreed! Def no hate on Iron Gwazi but SV just does more and does it better.
