"the darkest days of metal (90s)" and it's literally the decade where black metal was being innovated by Darkthrone, metalcore was being pioneered by Converge, visual-kei was being redefined by Malice Mizer, power metal was being perfected by Blind Guardian, death metal was being taken to new progressive territory by Opeth, and symphonic metal was being straight up invented by X Japan. Are you out of your mind?

When the Futureal single came out (that contained this video in its multimedia section), we used to watch this on repeat for hours and hours on end with my best mate since 1st grade. We both used to be recalling this memory often as it reminded us of a time of utter bliss. My friend has sadly passed away 22 days ago, and I haven't stopped watching this as it's one of the few things that help me cope. So whoever is wingeing about how Blaze didn't do a good job whilst on IM can show themselves out! - Thanos

Sometimes it’s lack of time, or just a normal thing happens to the greatest even, they are humans, i talk about music, don’t care much about music videos generally! And maybe the video and especially the song is their choice intentionally like something different, which is good as principle in general! But for me, I don’t like it musically

Sometimes blokes just like to have fun. I think that's what drives of lot of Steve's odd decisions... which I don't mind because I think this song is really fun to listen to. Sometimes Steve's fun fails to read the room--the room being commercial success--, but in a vacuum it's nice.

I really like this song. Very rock n roll. To be fair I like the 2 albums they did with Blaze. He gets a lot of stick but he had very big shoes to fill when Bruce left Maiden. He struggled with a lot of the older material in the live shows because he just didn't have the same vocal range as Bruce and while it wasn't great he always gave 100% and you've gotta give him credit for that.

ofcourse every reasonable Maiden fan will aknowledgeBlaze as a part of Maiden history His task was way too hard for Him but in the end He had few great songs on those 2 albums and few bad songs cause of Voice range and what other band members wanted to hear. To be straight Blaze couldnt perform perfectly all DiAno and Dickinsons songs but Bruce ….. Bruce with His voice range and voice control can do anything. So lets not talk shit bout Blaze He did His job as good as He could :)

Finally- someone who actually agrees with me. He definitely was not the best voice, but I feel when he was in the band, the entire band was just heavier. I think the late 90's were a great transitional period in Maiden's history. Then of course Bruce came back with BNW which blew everyone away.

X Factor and Virtual XI are not my least favorite Maiden albums either. X Factor was definitely a darker album, but it has so many good tunes on it, some of which Maiden play in their concert rotation and they sound great. A duet with Blaze and Bruce would be interesting; they have such contrasting voices, it could work really well.

I really like this song, even the long version. Yes the chorus is stupidly repetitive and the overall quality isn't up to Maiden's earlier and more recent standard, but there's still a lot of power to this song and some great solos, and it suits Blaze's voice more than a lot of the other songs he performed with them.

albert fish It's hard to listen to the full version cause they repeat "Don't Ya Think I'm a Saviour? Don't You Think I Could Save Ya? Don't You Think I Could Save Your Life" over and over and over and over and over again for a good 3 minutes straight, and then they do it again for another 4 minutes straight I like the rest of the song though, just wish they didn't repeat so much in it.

Richard Michael Egan why is that a bad thing? Its like any instrument playing the same riff throughout. Blazes voice is an instrument. I find the full song very catchy. Its not a great song, the other songs are much better but its a good song. Its not just the singing you hear throughout you also hear some great guitar work and solos. Being unable to listen to a full song just because the same line is sung constantly is pretty pathetic to be honest.

I listen to the song all the time, it's not a bad song to me. I just think it could do without all the repeating that it does. I can tolerate Seventh Son of a Seventh Son and Brave New World, cause they don't go on for 3 minutes in those songs. My dad is worse, he flat out refuses to even listen to Blaze Bayley era songs (exception of Lord of the Flies, which he still can barely tolerate, I however love the song). I like just about every song on Virtual XI, but this song just repeats too much, doesn't mean I don't like listening to it from time to time though.

I've been a main fan for as long as I can remember. The first album I bought was Seventh Son of a Seventh Son and somewhere in time. I've never hated any singer or drummer or guitarist I always figured if you're part of the maiden family then you're part of the maiden family just like how Iron Maiden has paid for some of Paul Deano's surgeries surgeries

This song is one of my favorite out of Maiden's entire catalog, that being said, the video leaves something to be desired. The CG animation and the Star Wars cantina are great, but they have nothing to do with the song. The song is about a man faced with the decision of where he'll be spending eternity. Not to mention the song for the video is cut in half from the album version. I like it, but it could have been better.

One of my favourite Maiden's song, video and album! The solo by dave murray is remarkable, but is cut on the video. Blaze's voice on top with a strong chorus. It's the 3rd Maiden album with the use of synthetisers, and the result is very good! Eddie's very funny here!:)
