Respect, from Portugal 🇵🇹 ! I eat octopus every 14 days with my family. We shortly boil it first in very small quantity of water with some potatoes so they get octopus flavor and pink (releases the water inside the Octopus). And then we covered it olive oil in a clay tray and in the oven, like you did.

Love your content. I'm sure you'd know sushi chefs also like to massage octopus for hours to tenderize it. There's a video of a chef who discovered that just using a cheap vibrating massager he can cut that time by like half or something with obviously half the effort. You might find it amusing enough to try out. :)

Isn't it a bit risky to have Saran wrap not double layered between aluminium foil? I would imagine by the high temperature in the oven that some of the chemicals could go over into the oil there. Any thoughts about that?

Octopus, cut cubes, just blanc cook in boil water and place in plate. Pour Seasoning : Custom made Light Soy sauce (light soy sauce, water, green onion, fried garlic oil, msg). Toppings: Chopped Green Onion, Fried garlic. Dipping Sauce : Special Made Dipping Chilli Sauce with finely ground peanuts.
