W- move
E- rotate
R- scale
G- repeat last command
q - exit tool
b- soft selection
shift + . - grow selection
alt + b - change background color
f - fit to selection
ctrl + a - open attribute editor/channel box
ctrl + delete - deletes an edge loop( 2014 version and up only)
1 - standard mode
2- subdivision mode with cage

I love your work! I was thinking about getting your stylized asset course but I was curious about something. I already know how to model in 3DS Max, my issue usually is preparing the model for sculpting and sculpting in general. Would I be able to follow along using Max, or would you recommended downloading Maya instead? I don't know how different the software is overall.

The videos cover sculpting and preparing the model for export, there are some settings for exporting the model in Maya which might potentially be different in 3ds Max. Everything else should be fine while using Max.

Student is free for 3 years and anyone can be a student and renew.. Also Maya indie is 250 year if you're trying to do commercial stuff right away

Hey what's better for someone who's somewhat familiar with maya: Your ebook? Or the modeling assets course? I'm looking to start building a world for a personal project. Everything from beds, door mats and brooms to entire castles, forests and landscapes. I'm looking for a tutorial that will help me on my way.

The book is for beginners so it covers the basics of 3d modeling and how to use Maya and nothing else beyond that. If you are already familiar with modeling I don't recommend the book. The Stylized guide asset tut shows how to make an asset with Maya, zbrush, and Substance Painter so I think that one might be a good one to start with. There's also the environment course which covers how to make and put everything together in Unreal. But that course only covers exterior environments and not interiors.

It's a great brush, it comes with Zbrush. It's in the brush folder, I think the folder is called Mallet?

how do you get such good high poly bake results without any retopology? I'm learning the ZBrush hardsurface workflow currently and I always get normal bake errors once I bring everything into Marmoset/Painter. thank you, your videos are always super inspiring :)

The shapes don't change too much between the high poly to low poly so retopo was not necessary. You might be getting issues with settings your normals on the low poly or possibly the uvs.

對於靜態對象,可以使用三角形。對於動畫對象最好不要有三角形。

Better to export as fbx ; in Substance Painter I work on the low poly model and use the high poly only to bake the details unto the low poly

how did you export the zbrush normals to the base mesh, since you made the UVs after the sculpt you dynameshed

I used the low poly model I made in Maya as the final model. The zbrush model was used as the high poly bake in Substance Painter. Uvs were done on the low poly model
