Good video, I’ve every wire and cable stripper known to man, but these are incredible for certain applications. When switching production facilities lighting to L.E.D. the ballast needs to be bypassed. The wires are usually 18ga solid running from the ballast to the sockets and on T5 fixtures there's usually eight. After cutting just pinch the wire with finger pressure on the jaw and it’s pop, pop, pop… Between that, clear 5 port Ideal in-sure push terminals to tie in the power wire, I can have them done faster than my guy can unplug them and take them down. On the mounted T12 fixtures I just drive around on the platform lift and about the same, no scoring wires, no wire nuts to twist and potentially break off in the wire nut from a tiny wire score. Makes ladder work a lot easier too.

ALMOST a great video, but you fell short. After stripping the yellow sheathing off the Romex, it was essential for you to strip the wires of that Romex. Romex conductors are known for being a pain to strip with these types of strippers due to the plastic encasement over the white/black insulation of the wires. Usually, you have to go at it 2-3 times to get it to go and you damage the surrounding insulation as a result.

I've used these wire strippers on everything, including multi-conductor shielded cables with 22 AWG wires. It will even cleanly strip 6 inches of the cable jacket at one time. The only time I've had issues was with a certain brand of stranded THHN wire where the clear nylon jacket was interfering with ripping the inner colored insulation. I think it had more to do with the wire than the tool. I still use it constantly on the job.

I think I’ve had the same issue. Even when the tension is fully tightened the jaws slip and do not strip the insulation. I used these for a while but went back to regular Klein strippers. Didn’t like the position of the cutters and it doesn’t fit into tighter spaces as well.

can you talk about the crimping slows i find the markings confusing. i think the top one is for the yellow 10 or 12 awg insulated terminal, but i'm not sure and not sure about what the other slots are used for. would you use the top one also for blue terminals? I saw someone crimp with a nice closeup but he didn't show which slot he put the terminal in. This is brushed by pretty quick. Other crimpers have markings that are clearer imo. tia

I just got mine but it will not grab tight enough to strip the insulation off..... are these adjustable?
